Here is something interesting for everyone...

This year, every B1G team has a "death stretch" where they have to play so many games in a little over a week.  Ohio State is currently in theirs, and we are about to go into ours.  What wins a lot of games in short days sometimes?  Legs... fresh legs.  To have fresh legs, you need depth!  To have depth, you need to have a solid starting 5 with about 3-4 people coming off the bench.  To do this, usually you have to avoid injuries.  So....

Nebraska has played 3 games in the past 10 days.  Overall we have not one person averaging more than 30 minutes per game.  We also have 8 guys averaging more than 10 minutes per game!  We have DEPTH!  That means that every guy is getting over 10/40 minutes resting each and every game that we play (on average).  This is huge I think for not only this game, but this stretch run as well.

Ohio State has played 4 games in the past 10 days.  Overall they also have just 1 person averaging more than 30 minutes per game and that is Diop.  They have 9 players that are averaging over 10 minutes per game.  They have DEPTH as well.

Now look at teams like Northwestern, and Wisconsin who are struggling...

NW-- 3 guys averaging more than 30 minutes per game with 9 players getting more than 10 MPG.

Wisco-- 1 guy averaging more than 30 minutes per game and Haap is close.  8 guys getting more than 10 MPG.

I hate the way the schedule was laid out.  I hate moving everything up a week.  However, looking at it a little more closely I think that the way the schedule shapes up is better for us this year than it would have been in years past.  I know that the numbers aren't just off the page crazy, but seeing the amount of depth we have and having no one averaging 30 minutes per game will be huge when you are forced to play 3-4 games in 10 day stretches I think.

Or 3 or 4 games in a 3 or 4 day stretch like at the end of  the year in the conference tournament.

TBF it's hard to imagine a fan base getting revved up to watch their team run a garbage program out of the building on a Monday night in January.  Probably going to be just the die hards there tonight.

Minnesota was #14 when we beat them. It was a feather in the cap at the time. And this could be a feather too, just one with more staying power. Let’s get it done!
