After watching our first two conference games it is pretty easy to see that we are a physical/aggressive team.  It has not been pretty when we were not working within that mindset.  Do you agree?

My concern is the refereeing crews in these first two conference games allowed us to play that game, especially down the stretch.  MJ and Ed were beasts on the boards.  Tai and Glynn can make their ways to the rim.  How do we react when games are called tighter?  How will it effect us, if at all?

Just throwing it up against the wall to collect some chatter.

Hopefully the zebras will continue what Dan Dakish calls "Big10 officiating". I love to watch our team try to block every single shot in the paint. Now back to the Rose Bowl. I was getting tired of watching all that offense.

My perception is that the refs have allowed markedly more physical play in this first week of conference play as compared to out-of-conference play - and not just in the B1G.  Play on the perimeter and amongst the bigs in the paint seems to be much rougher without all of the ticky-tack calls made, so maybe they consciously or sub-consciously adjust because these games now take on more importance than the early season.  Now, whether they continue that or some of the incompetent d-bags like Eades and the bald-headed dork we had for Indiana decide to get a burr up their bum for some reason and take it out on a team, all bets are off.
