Wisconsin vs. Us

I can't help but think of us while watching this Wisconsin game. I think it all goes back to No-Sit Sunday. The respect they gave us in a game in which they lost spoke volumes about them. When I watch them play, I envision us in their position in a couple of years hopefully. When watching them, they don't appear to be much better than us, but they are so damn efficient in what they do. Ethan Happ is probably the key difference in that they have a reliable post player who scores pretty efficiently inside. Couple that with a veteran point guard in Koenig, and a Shavon-type do it all-around guy like Hayes, and you have the makings of a very good basketball team. I almost feel like I'm watching us against Notre Dame. As long as they aren't playing us, I have no problem rooting for the Badgers (in basketball only)!

And seeing what Wisky is doing to Notre Dame makes our win against them all the more impressive.

I'm always impressed how they are consistently able to play great defense without fouling. Especially with the way the game is called these days.

 

I mean when we got into the double bonus against them in the 2nd half in the B1G Tourney, I was thinking their coach might stop the game and ask for a recount.

Wisconsin didn't get "their" calls at the end of that game.  Tie that to the gawd awful ball handling and they really did pi** that one down their collective legs.

Two turnovers and a layup that doesn't draw iron in the last 19 seconds. I guess Wisky used up all its magic last week.

 

And there goes our streak of seasons where we beat a team that reached the Final Four. (Yes, 2 seasons qualifies as a streak.) MSU & Wisky really let us down this year.
