For the sake of Tim and all he's accomplished here, despite how horrible things have ended, presuming hes gone in a week, I'm picking a win for once. Let's make it 113-112, timmy! ❤❤❤ I'll admit I've been a bad fan. Hard to blame me, horrible product doesnt keep us in seats. I'll be there Sunday tho. 1 PM tipoff, ppl. HHCC Game #28 - vs. Purdue (Feb. 23, 1:00 PM CST)

Boy, is this sad.Time to get (more) melodramatic: everyone on this team and staff is dead to me. this level of incompetence, forget how amazing the conference is, is not acceptable. just simply putting effort in against Penn st would've made it 10 points closer. that's all it takes...a LITTLE. scorched earth tactics when this nightmare is finally over. Braska: 40 Purdue: 73 ?? go ahead and laugh at this spectacle of rage that I have become, but don't blame me. there is more depression than anger in these bones. -

we invite the inevitable doom. Yet at this point I'm more impressed with our ability to somehow one-up ourselves with WORSE and more horrific masochistic methods of humbling and cucking ourselves ?? -
Played like the basement dwellers WE TRULY ARE. Really sad defensive effort. shot well enough to win on the road. What a shame. Major embarrassments = the university takes action to protect its interests. RIP miles era. Whether it was his fault or not, it doesnt matter; the team slowly lost their fight. Is it the current generation's snowflake mentality? I know losing so much will slowly sap the inspiration outta you, but it's simply unacceptable to have athletes here who dont have the DOG in them, who wilt in the face of competition, who fall and cry in fetal position when they encounter difficulty. You have to have a locker room mentality of positivity, from my limited perspective. I just dont feel their ethos is a winning one, nor one that represents the Nebraska ethos.

Sorry man. I mean you're right. But how has this aged? My take was extremely pessimistic but it seems we have the weakest stomached team in the history of basketball. No FIGHT in them.

Yeah, Or some players who have a mean streak in them. Not dirty like, say, our blue neighbors to the NE, but an angry streak to where they'll get competitive if punched in the mouth. Stick up for each other. Fouls be damned. I need to see that fire again, and it starts on defense. The scorers will come and must be prioritized as well, but I think you find an identity and style, and the guys come running to be a part of that! -
listen, this is all possible, and cool and all, but it all doesn't matter if we get to the dance and we don't have the tools to beat anybody. these are all top teams that make the tournament, and I'd rather have an equipped team I can feel confident about when we make it again...I'd rather have NIT in this situation, strange as it sounds, unless they really show me something in the final weeks. I don't think we can beat ranked teams on a nightly basis in the tourney(and don't fancy getting blown out and embarrassed on national TV once again), good as the Big ten is, at the moment. That could all change of course. Also, I'm thinking this way because I don't want an improbable (undeserving team) bid, and miles getting to stick around....the future health of the program needs new leadership imo. This all seems crazy, I'm sure.

Exactly, great point. We need our instate "rough and tumble" "take it for the team" kids, just like how Wisconsin has always had their "take a charge" buzzcut kids. Need a base of sold out team passion that the talented recruits and transfers can latch onto. -
indeed, momentum is a powerful force in College Hoops. But clearly purdue (and michigan, MSU...) are deep down, elite, well managed and put together teams. The boilermakers have a clear identity and gameplan. It's certainly strange how Nebraska had an ideal scheduling plan for non con, but in the end it didn't matter, because evidently it was fools gold? and we always have to take into account that these games can swing quickly, and hence the season; a loss can put your team into a 5-10 game funk, and this phenomenon hit nebraska particularly hard this time around. welp. IDK how to explain this season. (pretty normal in cbb for me) What I'd really like to see is stats and graphs on this incredible turnaround in fortunes in the negative direction...EXTREME negative direction...

well, let's not get ahead of ourselves; ego can't get too big with basketball. NO sport at nebraska will ever be as big or as important as football, and that's how it is (and I don't beleive it should change)... it's just reality. When we conflate the team with needing the same commitment level football to basketball, I think we go too far. That's not to say we shouldn't up the standards and take the sport seriously, though, because I could see this being the clear #2 program focus, ahead of volleyball and others. There can still be much more to be done in the sport in terms of hiring, since it seems most of the peripherals and physical setup measures have been taken. No excuse to be much, much better. The transformation of the program, despite recent misery, is mindblowing. Have to keep building on the momentum, because we're at a clear plateau and may lose it all if we're not careful.

ah, how long ago this feels... like yesteryear... How high we were! how good (supposedly) we were! and how far we have fallen. Bit melodramatic, yes, but since mid january we have dropped 6 in a row, and yet only plummeted on KP to 32. 11th in the nation is crazy! also have to realize how good this conference is, I mean we still have 9 teams in lunardi. but we have looked like horse sh*t in person. So depressing, all of this. how mentally weak are our guys? -

Yep. Put me down for that. We arent decent, no potential there until the offensive system is fixed. harder problem? "Fixing" the bad morale. -
