  1. They can win on the road wwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaatttttttt?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Miles has pulled and yelled at Palmer on separate occasions for shot selection toady. Never seen him do that to Palmer usually it’s Roby
  3. Two guys courtside with Lewis right now anyone know who?
  4. I found it interesting that the guys were tired and played poorly because of it because last year we were like 9-1 or something on 1 or less days of rest right? This should make us better. Also thanks for saying you enjoyed the podcast I know we're just two kids who don't and won't do journalism but I've learned about and watched so much basketball in the last few years feel like we have the knowledge and free time ? to compete with the big guys.
  5. Well it turns out he's averaging almost 20 a game so you might be right. That sucks... I mean good for him glad it's working out.
  6. Woah you think very highly of Jacobson 3rd best player I want to hear who is above and below him. I'd have the entire core 4 over him easily. To be honest though I haven't followed Jacobson whatsoever so maybe he's putting up 20 a game idk.
  7. Yes we tried this with Roby and it did not work. Jordy would've equalled turnovers in this game. Now that I've seen Brady contribute I'm totally over Jordy. I wouldn't take this year Jordy over this year Brady and in the future its not even close.
  8. Thanksgiv For Nothing Happy Thanksgiving! Listen to make sure you win your family's Nebrasketball holiday argument. Today Caleb and Jake analyze what went wrong on Tuesday night and how our tournament chances are effected by the loss to Texas Tech. Don't not listen because we lost we will bring hope to those who are despairing. Not to be on the refs again but we were up 14-5 when James got one or both of his charges then they didn't call it on the other end a few possessions later and it was all downhill after that. But yeah Thomas Allen played the 2nd least minutes of the starters at 36 minutes on a back to back. The zone did not work especially in the half court.

  10. "Its (Nebraska's) Quadrant 1 record is 1-6. Quadrant 2? Nebraska is 2-3. " Thats 12 Q 1/2 games last year. According to current Kenpom we will play 12 teams in the top 70 and some of them twice this year. Top 70 on the road is a Q1 win. We should play 20 of those games this year. Also we went 3-9 in Q1/2 games last year and were "1 win away" right now we are 0-1 with no bad losses we can still get to 7-13. And who knows maybe seton hall turns it around and we already got one.
  11. I saw a couple of extended post on the greatness of this discussion board in the Kenpom thread and thought it deserved it’s own thread. Especially around the time of Thanksgiving I thought it would be cool to share what or who we are thankful for on the board. Personally I love how well it is managed and how a few ridiculous post there seem to be. It’s also amazing how few and far between derogatory fights and arguments there are especially about things that don’t pertain to basketball there are. For a person I am thankful for HHCMatt I have no idea how he has enough time to do all the stuff on Twitter or on here that he does. But somehow it all happens. Also I never heard the Jay Billis story what happened there ?
  12. Just think about when the CFP committee starts doing rankings. IMO you don't really know how good a team is until 20ish games into the season. Obviously we are going to make predictions before that and you can lose some really bad games that can put you out of contention. This is not one of those games. The whole point of playing Q1 games is that losing them hardly matters in the eyes of the committee while winning really helps you. If we go 4-8 in Q1 games and win the majority of our other games (which we have) the committee is going to say great come on into the tournament. We lost one of those games so now we need to go 4-7 in the rest of Q1 games (hypothetically obviously) so I'm not super concerned about getting those 4 games yet just because we missed 1 of 12 oppertunities.
  13. We beefed up our conference resume to get more chances at quality wins. We also by default will have a beefed up conference schedule which will allow us to get quality wins. That doesn't mean that non-conference matters more than conference it just means it matters. I mean we are 4-1 or if you are only talking about Q1 games we are 0-1. Big deal we have 10 more coming up this season. I don't know if its just because I watch a lot of NBA but I just know that teams can play like crap sometimes without being a bad team. It could be an indication we are a bad team but looking at it as a whole picture I'm not even close to making that conclusion. And if we are a good team the wins and losses will work out over the course of a long season.
  14. My overall thoughts. Huskers fall apart on the road again. Can’t shoot. Tech’s defense was incredible. Couldn’t penetrate. Some terrible shot choices from Glynn and Palmer. Charges should not exist. I will be doing a rant on that last one on our next episode.
  15. I am not sure why it would matter if games for one in or outside of conference. Also we are one and one in quadrant one and 2 games so unless Seton Hall falls apart like Minnesota dead last year we should be fine. I think we might need to keep calm and remember that Oklahoma lost 14 games last year The Big Ten seems to be shaping up to be close to that competitive this year and with 20 conference games that should be close to 14 quadrant one or two games just in conference. The more important thing at this point is weither it looks like we can win those games. My main concern is that Miles has always struggled on the road. I don’t know why but we can’t just win at home this year. The big dance is not at home either so if we want to get a win there we need to get this figured out which has not been done for seven years under Miles. And by the way I think Miles is doing a great job recruiting is more important than anything else and he excels at it and I’m not saying he is entirely to blame.
  16. I’m not sure why everyone is assuming that the defense in league play will be this good. Texas Tech is one of the best defense of teams in the country and might be the best we face all year.
  17. It’s pretty crazy how inconsistent refs are against Seton hall every single thing was called a blocking foul. In this tournament every single thing was called an offense of charge. Except for that one call on Tanner today. It won’t be an issue when we don’t have these refs anymore. But the inconsistency means there will surely be a different problem sadly
  18. We have either been bad or not a road team for too long. Saw the poor play on the road come out a little last night hopefully we can get that monkey off our back tonight. If you want to know my thoughts on the game and what tonight will look like they're right here.
  19. I did a quick discussion on the Missouri State game and looked at the match-up with Texas Tech.
  20. I figure it would be good to put this here for those who don't have Apple devices we are now available on Spotify!
  21. I don't think you have to sit down with with league scouts to know that free throw shooting in college is used to project three point shooting in pros. I've just spent a lot of time just listening to podcasts about the NBA draft and I would say this is a widely used factor that is often helpful when combined with other factors.
  22. Back at it discussing the huge win against Seton Hall. Caleb and Jake's relationship gets a little #RiskyRoadz while discussing James Palmer's shot selection. We look forward and make predictions for Missouri State in Kansas City on Monday!
