I did make the same comment that started this as a new thread on the main board if someone who knows how wants to we can combine the discussion to the If miles is fired thread. It has a perfect place to call home.

I don’t really care if we are favored or not. Duke will probably be favored in every game they play this year will you be disappointed in their season if they lose one game they were favored in. Obviously not, was it so much better when Doc’s teams were better than expected and got 10th in conference instead of 12th. I would rather underperform and make the tournament than over preform and miss the NIT. The point is we haven’t lost any game that wasn’t a Q1 opponent. Do you really care more about expectations than results? If that’s how you enjoy sports you do you. I just can’t imagine thinking about sports that way but maybe soon people do.

Heck 15 million is triple Steve Kerr’s salary why go after an NCAA champion when you could have a world champion. If we end up with Jay Wright I’m just going to stop watching. Kerr or Tyron Lue’s team could beat Jay Wright’s team 100 times out of 100.

Yeah I personally know that they enjoy it here and would love to to not have to leave Nebraska. Which I’m sure everyone assumed because it’s the best.

Some guys in the 90s even made the NFL. That just doesn’t happen in basketball as often. Or maybe we’ve just never been the best team in NCAA basketball and it happens for Duke all the time. -
Warning: If you don't like this because it's not this season discussion you don't have to read this just move along. I would be very upset when I actually spent a little time imagining this could happen I realized how crazy it would be. Many people want a fresh start with someone new. Who someone new is and how good they will be is not the topic here. I think we need to take a step back and realize what we might lose. If Miles is replaced we probably lose along with 2-4 commits if I'm including Jervay Green who I believe could be the best husker ever (not the highest bar but pretty high) and probably Roby along with who knows who else currently on the team. Are you really prepared to lose that much to go for a total rebuild? Of course the counter argument would be not that many players would opt out so I open it up to discussion what do you expect to lose if this occurs and how much could you lose while it would still be worth it?
-
Why Bill Moos should've given Miles a real extension. If Miles is replaced we probably lose Jervay who I believe could be the best husker ever (not the highest bar but pretty high) along with 4 other commits if I'm remembering right and probably Roby along with who know else currently on the team. You know what this is going to be a new thread. See you on the main board.

uneblinstu's postgame chatter: vol 11; ed 15 - @ Iowa
cjbowbros replied to uneblinstu's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
We are actually 2-11 against Q1. Unless a tier is different. But anyway the only thing I have to say is 4-23 from 3. If we shot 33% we would've won. There were other issues but that's 15 points you can't get back. Sometimes you just miss shots. Yeah I know it came after a loss but I've watched enough NBA to know that teams have off nights and yeah they can have 3 in 4 games, on the road, sometimes. We knew we would struggle on the road we are 3-4 away from home and have dominated at home. If we lose to Penn State start getting worried. Until then I'm not going to freak out. Or maybe I'd be better if I just said we suck and gave up. -

I almost forgot but the game turned when Copeland couldn't finish the dunk because he got poked in the eye it lead to a fast break the other way and our 8 ish point lead evaporated quickly after that. What could've been if his eye was all safe and sound. ? -
It's probably because they beat RPI 300 teams while we beat RPI 340 teams. Makes me mad that we used it for so long. Maybe quadrants weren't what screwed us last year maybe it was just RPI. Anybody know what our NET Ranking would've been last year?

Nebraska (11-2) vs. Maryland (10-3) Game Thread

Brady at least by the start of next season Brady is going to be good. But, actually in the past I'd love to have Ubel on almost any team. -

I don't know who this guy is but he just gained a follower. That's a great point. Let's add championship Final bound Michigan last year. But I guess they lost big to us instead of keeping it close so it's probably more acceptable. -

Oh I see what you are trying to say is that we should be a top 10 team in the country. I'm not sure we are quite that good yet. -

Oh so sorry that we've blown out Seton Hall, Creighton, and Oklahoma State so we couldn't win a close game. This is based on what a two game sample size if you had a 50-50 chance you would have a 25% of losing both. I'm not going to say he sucks at the end of games based on that. So true, though I'd want to add any team with Lebron to the list it's hard to mess that up. -

I wouldn't say they were hitting tough shots just open shots. Every defense will give the other team open shots. That one big guy #25 usually wouldn't even attempt wide open shots tonight he made them. It just happens its a make or miss league that's why they play 30+ games. -

We really enjoyed doing our last podcast so we will be doing Instagram live during as many time outs as possibles well as halftime. We are on Instagram @risky roadz nebrasketball pod but, if you just search nebrasketball you’ll find it. We are hoping that it can be an extension of this thread as I’m sure we will steal some ideas from the best NE vs Maryland 01/02/19 game thread in the world! So excited for this game! If we win out I think we can still get a 1 seed right? ? -

This episode applies well to this thread. Jake and Caleb close out 2018 by discussing how the non conference went and look forward to 2019 where difficult conference opponents lie in wait. This was also a historic episode marking the first time you can watch a Nebrasketball podcast! Check us out on Instagram for our live feed!

I don't get this is there something I'm missing? Why would he be able to play almost half a season and then get a redshirt? Copeland was barely cleared and he had back surgery and only played 8 games (fact check me on that). Maybe he could get it but I wouldn't say it is obvious especially when Tanner played one minute and now is out a year.
