They certainly will and it will hurt him offensively the question is if he will be able to get a running start down hill and finish at the rim enough to not be a liability on offense. This would allow him to still drive and kick as well. It should be possible because of his size and I have seen it done before at a higher level with a much taller and much better player (Ben Simmons) but even the greats struggle without shooting and it will be important that he learns to do so in subsequent seasons. But guys like this are the ones that can compete right away the question is will they ever get better.

Thanks I got it These four will round out all of our episodes to date I'll just add new ones here whenever I post one. Here's the Double commit Pod start by talking about Jervay Green and continuing to Mika Adams Woods before discussing the lack of bigs and scholarships to give them in the future. I'm super super high on Green after really diving into his juco stats and games online so find out why I think he could be a leader on the 2019 squad as we try to keep going strong next year. Secret Scrimmage Open Audio Here's a discussion about the secret scrimmage followed by some live audio brought to you from the 10/24 scrimmage. The ending has my discussion with some of the players and document how I made it onto Copelands story so check that one out. #RiskyRoadz This is an older episode but still very relevant as the roster is I believe the exact same once Dedoch left. It's about the departure of Jordy and how the team for this season will run especially addressing playing without big man depth. Jake partnered with me to do this one as well. Episode 1 Finally we have our first episode. It may actually be our best season preview as Jake and I discuss each player one by one and project if they will have better or worse stats than last year. We got pretty in depth with our analysis of the guys on the team and summarized last season for the guys so it's definitely still worth a listen. Report post Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Thanks for all the support from anyone from the board who listened this offseason. We are so excited for the season and if you didn't like what you heard give us another shot as we get into actual coverage of the team. It will be very different during the season and my partner Jake will be back adding hopefully a less bland and strictly stats based episodes. Also as the season heats up we want to heat up the competition by covering HTCC. We will be making predictions and explaining why, to help you guys with the competition. We also will publicly acknowledge the competition between the podcasts and throw some punches in good fun.

How did you attach this one Matt?

Here's most of the podcasts we have released so far still figuring out how do share them all. Shoutout to Dimes for supporting all of the podcasts we hope that you are big enough fans to listen to them all. Also huge props to anyone who listens to the Player Profile on Decoch Chan I'm sure that will continue to get a lot of listens.

The Risky Roadz Pod will be playing throughout the season and hopefully keeping you informed on how to make predictions. If you make the top of the crop we'll probably give you a shout out too. Thanks so much for doing the math Fever.

Yeah I don’t have a problem with this remember that he had 3 years of elgiblity maybe they realized he wouldn’t develop or Chan didn’t want to wait to develop at least he is doing this in time for us to get a mid season transfer or grab someone for 2019 without worrying about 2020 at all.

Unless you are directly taking the teams and keeping them in the same cities and practicing and playing at the same places (which are almost all owned by the universities) it would not only never happen but be a huge waste of infustructure.

Tyronn Lue is the new Head Coach of the Cavs
cjbowbros replied to AuroranHusker's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Our chances of getting Bronie Jr. might just go up. Not so sure about Wade that didn't go to well. If he became our head coach I wouldn't be super against it not taking anything with Miles into account. As an assistant I'd be 100% on board high risk maybe but I think we'd end up with a crazy high reward. 98% sure it wouldn't happen though. -
I think another issue is not how much what they get is worth vs how much of it they can use for the things they want. I think a lot of players would love to help their mom pay the mortgage on her house but instead we give them $5,000 worth of adidas shoes and act like its worth the same amount as $5,000 cash.
-
Well since I now feel safe to say that I agree with you without being hated on I will. I think it's crazy that football being an only male sport I would guess for safety reasons and having so many players prohibits UNL from having some popular sports like soccer and the due process is probably an even a bigger issue. Just didn't want to spend the time formulating a perfectly politically correct post when that wasn't my main point. Thanks for defending the other side Norm.
-
Along these lines I personally think you should have certain tiers that you can pay top players so like you could pay 1 player $20,000 5 players $15,000 10 players $5,000 and the rest $2,000 for a football team and not for those exact numbers. I think this all stems back to Title IX which was obviously a good idea but when you are forced to give female players the same things as male players who bring in basically all of the money into the program that carries over into people saying the golf team should get same amount as the football team.

2020 C John Hugley -> Pitt-> Oklahoma->Xavier
cjbowbros replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
I mean if they both wanted to commit today I’d take them. But that’s going to be incredibly unlikely and even less likely once one of them commits. Plus if you’re going for or get a center in 2019 which seems fairly likely because we really need one that’s another scholarship our third big man in two years and you’d have to assume wings/guards are leaving to open those spots unless Brady leaves. On top of that we’ve never oversigned a class even by one player in the Miles era and if Roby leaves you could see 2 more players sign in 2019 putting us 4 spots over. -

I was concerned about the 6’8” part but he’s a big enough guy to be a center. At this point our scholarship situation would say it’s him or Ben not him and Ben and I would doubt we get either at this point so it’s not likely a problem. From his video though this guy clearly likes his right hand more than his left. -
I can't decide if your joking or not? I got that from someone else's article so if that's true I'm not going down for this! ?
-
At first I was getting a little concerned about this especially because Moos has not exactly been the most supportive especially after Eichorst who was looking to fire him ASAP. But I do think his family could be a pretty good reason to stay they've done a lot of moving before getting here and probably wouldn't mind staying after being here for 8 years.

Why do you have to come out the one time we thought the announcing could've been better and make us feel bad man. ? Can't wait to find your burner account on here that your using to leak classified broadcast material on. @KentIsTheBest1234? @Kent craw? ?
-
If you're going to talk about the tunnel walk the sound system sucks just Sirius was clearly the better choice but still sounded terrible.
-
One time I think it was Gates got Kent almost defensive after Gates said that doing radio and announcing wasn't that hard. It was also very hard to hear coach Mo and coach Lewis.
-
Just remember we could be dealing with this right now. Also the sights and sounds from tonight are up on the podcast as well as a little reaction from the secret scrimmage. ?
-
It was nice to meet you now I don't have to imagine you look like Tim Miles' identical twin. ?
-
I was actually surprised by the level of seriousness and average play. Always have to remember these guys already had a hard practice before this and won't play anywhere close to where they will in a game.
-
Wanted to start a thread to talk about Wednesday's scrimmage. I'm definitely excited while realizing that it's going to be a crapfest of tired legs and half effort from guys on the same team but anythings better than nothing right. With that said has a schedule been released for how the night will go, I think I remember a dunk or three point contest one night, or anything else like how long will the scrimmage be quarters, halves, where to park, whatever. I'd also invite you all to come and be a part of the podcast. I'd love to get to meet some of you and talk some basketball. I will be holding up a sign that says Risky Roadz Pod occasionally so I shouldn't be hard to find but if you want to meet me somewhere in the arena just let me know where! Feel free to come over even during to scrimmage and give your thoughts. Basketball is finally back!
-
Because he's launching 3-point daggers instead of hanging out around the lane getting offensive putbacks. That is a pretty good explanation I didn't have any video to go on at first. But still he should be grabbing everything on defense unless Kansas basketball is more competitive than I think. I'm just thinking about Brady I know he was in class B but the dude had like 11 boards a game and he's not a huge guy weight wise.
