  1. He also said that Fuller not only has a great shot but is equally capable of taking someone off the dribble!
  2. After reading that article how can you not pull for Reyes! I with the group that believes Reyes' best is yet to come next year. Bring in a few more scorers, take a little pressure off him and a much more efficient shooter will appear. Will also help immeasurably if Reyes can learn to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim effectively.
  3. Well, after missing on this last juco center I hope they are out being relentless!!!
  4. I wonder if the fact that Herbert just had shoulder surgery and would more than likely have to redshirt next year had anything to do with not recieving an offer?
  5. He is visiting Illinois this weekend, or at least within the past few days. It will be interesting to see if it goes beyond that visit. He committed to Illinois. Is he related to Brandon Paul? Yes, Brandon's brother.
  6. I read on another site that he recently had shoulder surgery and may have to redshirt next year as a result. Skilled player with height who really didn't fit our need. I get the impression we need rebounding and need someone who can play defense, either against a smaller, athletic PF or provide a bigger presense in the middle. Herbert doesn't fit either mold today. In a few years maybe, but not today. Add in the possibility of a redshirt and you have the answer why no offer I'm guessing.

  8. Not that I know of Norm. Perhaps I'm a bit premature in this proclamation but it just feels so different than Barry's or Doc's recruiting efforts. We miss on Atewe and Tumalla comes onto the scene. We miss on Tumalla and Herbert comes on the scene. Now we find out about the juco center prospect and that there are two transfers we are after who can't be mentioned because they don't have their releases yet. In the past, miss our top guy and we're desperately scouring the dredges of some backwood juco. It just feels so much better. And let's face it, quality big men are the most difficult find in college basketball. Wish Bo could find as many quality prospects at the DT position!
  9. It always seemed like Doc, and Barry before him, lacked recruiting options. When they missed on their primary targets they were forced to settle on questionable second options. They not only missed on their primary player targets but they also missed on adding the needed skillsets and components to build a complete team. On the other hand, this does not seem to be a problem with Coach Miles and staff. Every time they miss, all of a sudden other viable options appear. Not only options in terms of player quality but also the proper piece of the puzzle needed to build a complete team. This is a very welcome change.
  10. 12.3 rebounds per game was 3rd highest in juco that year. He shot 57% from the floor and 64% from the free throw line with .8 blocks/game. Joseph did average 2.2 turnovers per game. 3 to play 3 kid. If he has recovered from his knee injury, would be a perfect fit for our needs!!!
  11. Could it be that Jesperson is the back up plan in case Herbert goes elsewhere?
  12. Those damn homophones. No, not the ESPN NBA analysts. I'm talking to, too and two. Hahaha Mistake now fixed!
  13. Anyone have a feel for where she will end up?
  14. Great news for us too. I had heard there was concern that one of those two would not graduate and the program could lose a scholarship or two as a result.
  15. Robin thinks we should have an answer one way or the other by the end of this weekend.
  16. This would be a high school average as he redshirted last year Yes, high school. I see I didn't make that clear. Now corrected.
  17. 6'11" center is transferring from SMU. He averaged 15 pts & 11 rebounds his senior year of HS and was New Jersey all state. High 3 star to 4 star, depending on the recruiting service. Before choosing SMU had offers from Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, and Temple. Coach Smith was his recruiting lead from CSU.
  18. I saw a post on Rivals RSS that ASU had just tendered Sai a commitable offer.
  19. It's been known for at least 2 weeks that AZ st offered him. Not sure why this article changes anything. This is simply just a negative article by an Omaha sports writer. I assume Lee means the offer became "committable." Maybe I'm reading too much into it. There was a post recently on Rivals RCC claiming that Tuamalla had no commitable offer to Arizona State. This seems to change everything. I assume, after this, we will be on the outside looking in. Viva Finland!!!
  20. People who have seen him play compare him to Steve Nash!
  21. I'm surprised we've heard nothing yet! Any chance he is also considering a return to his juco for a second year? If he could improve his performance significantly he may pick up some higher profile offers.
  22. Someone on another website posted that Georgia just recieved the commitment of a juco forward other than Sai Tumalla. In addition, he does not believe that Sai has a commitable offer from ASU. Not sure of the credibility of this information, just thought I would pass it on!!!
  23. Or are we having trouble filling the last scholarship and are willing to look at a guard to fill it, if he is good enough?
  24. Somebody needs to make sure he's working just as hard in the lunch room. Robin said that he is gaining muscle mass but his exact weight isn't known. But it is greater than his listed weight of 234 lbs.
  25. We really don't want Johnson. He was a reach by McDermott to begin with. Poor talent ID by the Creighton staff.
