  1. A good way of eliminating tempo from how you perceive defensive success is just by using defensive efficiency. Most seasons Doc's teams were fairly high ranked in this category, but his last season wasn't very good. http://www.teamrankings.com/ncb/stats/
  2. Oh well, I'm pretty concerned about us getting to .500 in the first place.
  3. Why are people pretending that we, a program who has never won an NCAA tournament game, don't even want a transfer from a guy who sees the floor with the defending national champions? Ridiculous.
  4. I seriously don't understand that transition period. It might cost them a trip to the dance this year. Sorry for continuing the digression.
  5. Is it a safe bet that an above .500 record gets us into the NIT?
  6. RPI at this point in the season is a meaningless exercise. It becomes more accurate every day, though.
  7. Per Rosenthal on his chat, Deng Deng may visit for a B1G game and Nebraska is still hot on him.
  8. Apparently Coach Krzyewskiyadf was in Lincoln last night checking him out. We have to start protecting in-state talent.
  9. If the players like them who cares? I think they did. We should start test driving alternates by playing a cupcake in them, though, just to make sure they don't have any bad luck.
  10. I don't think the team's future performance hinges on how we choose to talk about that game online. The team was embarrassed, Miles was embarrassed, the fans were embarrassed, and nothing we say here is going to lessen that for anyone. I think as fans we are right to praise the effort the guys displayed.
  11. Has anyone been able to find the audio from the teleconference?
  12. One of my friends requested Gibbs go jump off a bridge, but I'm not sure it's fair to deprive so many people of a chance to smash his face in.
  13. It's very fixable, but I noticed Petteway sagging off his man way too much to make a play on the ball (which he did a few times) even though there was somebody already in position for help defense. It gave up a number of open shots.
  14. Neb- 77 The U- 68
  15. ...I'm saying they already turned it down.
  16. I believe that highly ranked class is all signed, sealed, and delivered.
  17. Baseball had a top of the line recruiting class this year, bobcat. Smile
  18. Nobody's saying fire Tim Miles. Seriously? I'm just saying you cannot call him a PROVEN recruiter right now. He's had success everywhere else he's been recruiting the talent he needs, but this is a new level for him. To say he's lighting the recruiting world up would be completely false. Heck, look at Northwestern's recruiting class. Almost getting people doesn't count for anything until you actually get one. Is Agau starting here this year? I guess not. Hammond is a good start, but forgive me for not rushing to any conclusions because of it. I trust Miles knows what he's doing, and it's easy to see his plan begin to take shape; however, the world of sports is precarious and fickle.
  19. Especially considering we already do start Pitch at the 5.
  20. I tend to agree. Miles still needs to prove he can recruit guys to take us where we want to go. That said, Hammond was a good start.
  21. First is the worst, second is the best.
