  1. I would agree that that are maybe on par with Maric, Dagundero and Johnson. But you know what....if Maric, Dagundero and Johnson all played together as juniors and seniors you have yourself an NCAA tournament team. We've signed some decent players over the last 12 years. But it was always one at a time. They were always seperated by multiple years. All those guys you listed have been signed in the last 12 months...not the last 12 years.
  2. I want Smith...lukewarm on Sai.
  3. No offense....but I don't think that's necessarily correct (post-facility vs. pre-facility)
  4. Wasn't playing time a big factor for Atewe? That would shoot down a lot of that
  5. Robin said dont be surprised if Nebraska over-signed if all 3 wanted N. Yeah... At that time it would be a situation where hey... we are going to have to take you off of scholarship, but you can still stay here as a walk on. In which case you would see someone transfer I think. Benny or Vooch would have an unexpected coaches meeting. My best guess would be Vooch... Probably would not trade a post for a guard, and Benny showed the most upside this year. But at this point we need to get all three to say they are N first. Not sure I'd say Benny showed the most upside this year. I think he showed he was the most ready to contribute this year. Vucevic may never develop but I do think his upside is above Benny's. Mostly because Benny's ceiling is pretty low (pun intended)
  6. Is this thread about Atewe or Standhardinger? Hit
  7. I'm pretty sure it's not that easy. i think that $1 per credit hour thing is only for 15 hours a year or something so it wouldn't cover full time academic status for 2 semesters. I also think there is a rule that you have to be employed (or NCAA rule) that says you have to be employed for 3 years before you are eligibile anyways...which would have elminated Ben and Jake anyways. I think this is another one of those rules where it's not as easy/simple on the surface as what everyone thinks because if it was, everyone would be doing it.
  8. FWIW i've heard the same as Hooper has here. That being said..I'm not to worried about Biggs staying in line.
  9. Any angst there was, was justified.
  10. Thank you.
  11. To be correct though...he didn't win his conference the year he was fired.
  12. only if he doesnt want to play for the new coach or the new coach doesnt want him. He signed his LOI so it would have to be mutual to be released. It doesn't have to be mutual, does it? I thought the NCAA allows recruits out of LOIs if the coach goes elsewhere? No...the school usually agrees to the release in those cases but it's not an automatic thing
  13. You don't think he would want to stay in the Big Ten with the success the conference has had during the season and in the NCAA Tourney? You could very well be right, but I would think that Miles would give it another shot, especially since it doesn't seem like he is one of the recruits that won't give Nebrasketball a chance because of the Nebraska winter weather. I mean if he was fine with Minnesota winter weather, then Nebraska would be a step in the warmer direction. The other advantage I could see with Miles is that he has at least some sort of relationship already established with him, because he has recruited him. The new Minnesota coach might not have been in contact with him at all. So there's that I guess. Also, since his other 2 finalists were Tennessee and Auburn, when Foster committed to Minnesota, I'm sure that Tennessee and Auburn continued recruiting other players on their list. Do they even have a spot left for him? Maybe there isn't a spot for him at those schools anymore. I have no idea. Just throwing that out there. If we sign Atewe and Sai... we do not have a spot for him... Unless someone leaves. I think we have hashed that out before. Different frame of reference though
  14. This to me would be ideal for the last spot after Atewe
  15. Or maybe we just need the help upfront and want a more immediate contributor than relying on Atewe as a true frosh
  16. He's gonna be mentioned for almost every major job opening. If he turned down Illinois last year, he's not going to Minnesota now.

  18. Unless Creighton has some impact player redshirting or coming in...we will beat them if McDermott leaves. Losing GE, Gibb and McDermott is a huge loss for that team. Manigat, Wragge and Chatman are nice players when they are playing alongside a great one (Doug) and a couple of other solid ones (GE & Gibbs) but when you take them away and teams play them honestly...not sure how good they are. I'll take Rey, Shields and Rivers over Manigat, Wragge and Chatman
  19. 2011-2012 FGCU in the non-con is not the same team as a 2012-2013 FGCU in the postseason. The critcism was just.
  20. That shot may have been...but he made some big mistakes down the stretch though too
  21. Yeah....we aren't better than either one of those teams.
  22. Committee also did a terrible job this year in seeding...lots of these 12s are more like 7s and 8s.
  23. We're also the only one who has stepped up a level in competition. Everyone else is playing at a lower level since we left. Pac 12 (Colorado) and SEC (Mizzou) are both worse than the old Big 12 (and Big 10) and the Big 12 is down.
  24. Terrible move. We've been here before...it was called the Big 12 North
  25. And somewhere Benny Parker cries. Parker has the handles and the quickness. If he can consistently hit a jumper he'll be in the mix. I think the remark from Miles and my sensationalist topic title speaks more towards the flexibility of Pettaway as opposed to him playing point. Just don't see it with Parker.
