  1. Now do the Kiwi Shake
  2. Canada! Can't wait to put down the smart phone for a week. Hope you have a happy 21st. Be smart. Not making an arse of yourself> drinking to prove something.
  3. I see your point. As someone who has lived in Lincoln for awhile it's not about the arena for me. It's about seeing what UNL can do in this town. They own Lincoln. It's really that simple. I don't deny that they help more than hurt, but there comes a time where I just want the city of Lincoln to accomplish something that isn't *driven* by the University. I think the arena is something to be proud of regardless of a "N" on the side or not.
  4. "The Bank of the West Halftime Show." Pinnacle bank arena presents The Bank of the West half time show sponsored by Citi and Pepsi Cola.
  5. "They waited until the 26 second mark? Amateurs.." Great game. Can't wrap my mind around leaving at that point. Crazy... Side note- Never heard so many people calling the NBA rigged than I did after last nights game.
  6. I love the University...really I do, but.. They don't deserve to put "N" on the arena. This project was put on Lincolnites bill.
  7. and they pay d!Xk to the schools and dont outfit every sport at each university. Its been brought up ad nauseum here but Adidas is the best fit for Nebraska. I wish this issue could be dropped. It's almost like arguing politics. While I definitely agree with Smiles, I also feel adidas is best for Nebraska.
  8. It's hard to read that and realize the season is still months away.
  9. Agree completely. Just because seemingly "less qualified" students are accepted doesn't mean coursework needs to change. Grade inflation is a huge contributor to the "dumbing down" of our country and that's on the educators to not allow. Admission standards for many universities are at the point where, I personally, don't see why they exist. It doesn't take much to be accepted to UNL (not a diss on the school, just is what it is). Students get weeded out pretty quick. I was amazed as a freshman at UNL by how many people gave up after the fall semester. There's plenty of points to argue here and it's a topic that makes for good debate, but as diehard said, the kids who choose to put in the work deserve the chance.
  10. You're right in saying that it's not common for major increases, especially in the SAT (from my past experience as well as classmates). I could see test result improving from the first to second because of familiarity, but 3+ attempts seems like rolling the dice. Standardized tests, SMH. What if Tai wants to be a music major? Or maybe a potter?
  11. Starting to think international players are too risky...
  12. This hire turned out much better than I expected.
  13. As much as I hate the Heat I want lebron to crush every record that arrogant party boy Michael Jordan set. I love how Lebron was pretty open about MJ being his idol and MJ responds by bashing LBJ in interviews.
  14. Growing pains? Or an indicator of things to come? If the kids don't want to stay at Illinois that's one thing, but Groce is playing a dangerous game with this much turnover.
  15. Makes sense. Sorry I wasn't trying to judge.
  16. I will give you the benefit of the doubt contained in your new post...OK, you knew....but driving while typing/texting is dumb...and dangerous! Eeeesh messageboarding while driving? I wish someone invented how to deactivate a drivers phone. Stop light texting is just annoying! Nothing worse than missing your left turn light because some person is looking down at their phone. At the time I thought Alonzo was being misused and he could play a bigger role. After letting his season play out and seeing his stats at north Texas I now know he really was just bad. I'm happy that this class appears to be one of the best in recent times, but I'll try and hold my excitement until I see them play. For all we know we landed a bunch of Alonzos.
  17. Who ya got? My top 10- Sek Jeter Ubel Ryan Anderson Ade BRich Bo Spencer Talley Walker Harley I'm going to go with Ade. Best career goes to Anderson. Most improved goes to Ubel. Highest ceiling- Sek. Wish we had him longer- Jeter/Spencer.
  18. But it's still a valid observation. He might have the athleticism to be in the NBA but I don't think he has the game for it. It seems to be a recurring theme (see Ubel) but I wish he would have redshirted his freshman year instead of waiting until after his sophomore year to have that epiphany. I like the kid and I think having some guys that can drive and dish to him will help a ton. I know Rey can drive but he rarely does. I'm not sure why. Even if you can't finish, get fouled. But whatever. I hope he has more success this upcoming season. Drive may not be his game, but there were a few times where he looked like he could make it his game. I believe that Ray will be a valuable asset next season no matter what role he plays. Like uneblinstu said, best defender on the team. His ability to force turnovers really surfaced this past season. I hope in the off season he can up the 3pt% a bit and find the confidence to drive.
  19. Does anyone remember that game where the BTN announcer was saying NBA in the same sentence as Rey? That was one of his more impressive games of the year, but two N words that usually don't go together are NBA and Nebraska. I know I'm a few months late with this observation...
  20. I'd like to change my vote to this.
  21. Uh oh, he picked Air Jordans....
  22. I was thinking the same.
  23. So does Standhardinger..... I wish I knew how to post a witty .gif to show my appreciation of that.
