With a new Zombie video...what has gotten into Harvey ?
a0t0w0 replied to trickey's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Oh, I was just being a sass. You're right though, he's probably maxed out. I DO think it's hilarious that he'd agree to this. It's almost painful to see one of the most powerful men in the state pimp themselves out in an attempt to recruit 17 and 18 year olds. All of that aside, I plan on watching every single one. His response on twitter to the Fake Bo Pelini was priceless. -

LOL. My bacon number is 2. I always thought the man was a robot. Guess I was wrong. Apparently the "YOLO" motto applies when considering potential career suicide. Who's committing career suicide? You're right- I'm sure this will be looked at as the highlight of Perlman's vita. -

Honest question: True Freshmen vs. Redshirt Sophomores
a0t0w0 replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Well put. I'll remain optimistic, but deep down I know it's going to be a long road. It's hard for me to get excited about these transfers because their numbers don't show all that much. -
If a Nike sponsored team wins the tournament can we agree that Nike is superior in every way?
-
Some guy named multiple put up some good numbers...
-
Players at schools sponsored by nike can still wear jordans.
-
My point wasnt that You HAVE to have nike/ jordan, but itd likely help a school like nebraska. In the end i dont believe a player would choose a college based on shoes, but you cant deny the popularity.
-
I hear some people really like this Shields kid
-
Nice, Rivers!
-
I agree 49r, but these are 17 and 18 year olds. I'm not sure many people on this board realize what it is Jordans represent to some kids. It's not Nike, it's Jordan. Go look at prospects twitters or whatever, they're FULL of pictures of their Jordans. It's more than shoes to some kids. I went through a shoe collecting phase (sounds ridiculous saying it now), but I dropped several thousand dollars on shoes (mostly nike and jordan) within a years time. It's not easy to explain, but like any kind of collection it becomes an obsession. When a kid decides they want to go to a school that is sponsored by Nike or Jordan, they instantly have the ability to acquire these shoes without spending 150-200 on them. They can wear the most popular shoes on the big stage. They can get the limited colorways they dreamed about as a kid. Yes, I'm being serious. That's the disgusting stranglehold Jordan Brand has on the basketball shoe market.

When did Cincinnati switch to Adidas? I thought they used to be sponsored by Jordan Brand?

The chick in the park was saying the same thing.... In all seriousness, I would've liked it if he atleast got a chance at Nebraska. The guy could penetrate and make things happen. Doc just hated his premature shot.

I've never had Sturgis brand. When you eat it, does your wife lift her top? Sturgis is amazing. My grandparents send me a load of it every year at christmas.

I still like Ray's game. He's making mistakes he shouldn't (turnovers, sloppy passes) at this point in his career. If we can get other scoring threats (rather than liabilities) Ray might be able to get better looks. I see him averaging 14 ppg next year. His posture reminds of Toney McCray, looks like he's half in it, but I think he's got twice the hustle in him.

uneblinstu's post game chatter: ed 5, vol 27 - Wisconsin

I meant it in a playful, almost jealous way. Like "Garsh darn that Dekker!" I would never truly bash or get angry at ANY student athlete. I respect each and every one for their ability to handle sports AND classes. -

I don't think it's JUST the quick turnaround as much as it is... The quick turnaround PLUS a short bench...getting shorter with Almeida being hurt PLUS Wisco playing about the league's best ball right now I agree. It's amazing these guys can walk after playing that many minutes in this physical of a conference. I've always been a Bo Ryan fan. I hope Tim can have the same success he has had. Also, it's going to be fun hating the Dekker kid for the next few years... -
I've lurked for years. First post yesterday. First time being called a troll as well.
-
I'm with you cwg. Terrible passing too. Some of the turnovers were just plain embarassing. What was up with Ray on that one traveling call? Looked like he was drunk. We hurt ourselves the most when the other team is making 3's. Seems like once they get one Talley HAS to take it down and jack up a terrible 3 to try and get it back. Drives me crazy.
