  1. Is that more or less than a titch?
  2. We need more stops these last 7+ minutes.
  3. This interim coach has a little jack wagon in him.
  4. 30 years ago for this one already.
  5. Buy in on both ends. We’re playing team defense and doing it with a lot of effort. Offensively we’re running offense so we don’t need to rely on one player to spark us offensively. We have several guys who can put up points any given night and give us momentum on that end. It’s been so nice to watch the change and see it game in and game out. Not just here or there, or just a couple players.
  6. Does that mean we want to play teams we’ve only played once in the B1G tourney?
  7. Seems we learn from experience, we played four teams for the second time in this time frame.
  8. He’s averaging over 17 a game, making more than 50% of his shots, and seems not to foul a lot. Has 13 games of more than 20 points, including 24 against Iowa, so not an outlier against us. For his size you’d like to see a little stronger rebounding numbers, but overall his numbers are similar to Allick with better scoring, and less rebounding. I think there could definitely be a role for him on a P5 roster.
  9. Wilcher and Lawrence went to the same high school, Kenya Hunter is currently one of his coaches.
  10. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4683779/mackenzie-mgbako I said in the game thread against them that I also think it would be great to snag him, and he’s got several connections to our program.
  11. Your kids’ bedtime routine and trying to ignore the game until you can actually pay attention sounds shockingly similar to mine.
  12. A year on the scout team playing against college level talent, with college level training and nutrition, and getting used to the system. Or a year playing 25 games against high school kids. I know which one is better for development. Missing your senior year though, pry depends on the individual how much that means to them. It seems in this case he’s ready to move on.
  13. You think the AP means Appalachian State?
  14. Which they had to travel to by covered wagon since there were less than 10 cars per 1,000 people in 1912.
  15. I bought all session tickets for Omaha from a block of seats on Saturday. Today the rest of the seats in the block are listed for $230 (30%) more than they were Saturday. I wish I would have bought sooner, but glad I didn’t keep waiting.
  16. In all the projected brackets these are the seeds in Omaha. The teams, obviously who knows, but these seed lines are the ones listed for Omaha from ESPN, CBS, On3. I stopped there in my digging.
  17. Looks like there is 6 vs 11 and 3 v 14 on one side. 7 vs 10 and 2 vs 15 on the other in Omaha. So 6, 7, 10 and 11 are our best shots at playing in Omaha.
  18. Of course the officials didn’t miss our shots. I think all eight of our rotation players missed gimmes in the first half. But both teams could do anything on the boards, around screens, to stop cutters. And that won’t always be the case.
  19. To me this game was a perfect example of the type of officiating that supports the notion that big ten teams get to the dance and don’t know how to play without fouling. From the tip it was so physical, they weren’t calling anything and they just let it keep escalating. Then they decide to start calling stuff tight right out of half time and you have to adjust how you’re playing the game.
  20. Rank us, cowards! Otherwise, it looks like we’re the cowards.
  21. 20 wins and we have four games more games for sure. This is the kind of season I hoped we’d be having when we hired Fred. I hope like hell we get over our big hump the second half of March, but this has already been one of the most fun seasons I’ve known. Can’t wait to watch the rest play out. GO BIG RED!
