I agree it appears to be effort at times. Chris’s Rebels are 352nd in giving up offensive rebounds this year though. Virginia is middle of the pack.

We play a defense where we aren’t on the body of the defender on the perimeter. It leaves lanes for the offense to get to the basket for easy put backs, they have space to create angles.

I understand wanting to get Brice going. But if the trade off to him handling the ball more is us building 30 point leads, I’ll take it.

I understand NW could easily slide to bubble territory, but don’t we want B1G teams that we play home and away to just keep winning? That way it helps our metrics doubly with each win? Same for Minnesota, but they’re not on the bubble (yet?), so we definitely want them winning? I also kind of have the feeling that NW falling out of the tourney could be really bad for us. They’re only one bubble team, but they change the perception of the whole B1G if they fall out. Then people will wondering if the B1G is a four bid league this year. Less wins against tourney teams for everyone in the league if they fall out, all the metrics have us and NW so close that if one of us falls out, it feels more like the other should be out too. PSU can lose all they want. I want our NW win to keep being a good win, and our NW loss to keep being a good loss. The bubble is weird. This is probably my longest post ever on this site and I could just keep going in circles.

I am so glad we did what we needed to and now we get a week to get our legs back. And thanks, Matar for getting the final back to 20!

I don’t know, both teams have 13 games that are currently Q1/Q2. We’re 6-7, they’re 4-9. We have a better RPI, they have a better SOS. We won head to head, and have better top line wins over Purdue and Wisconsin vs their win over Baylor.

They are now in the bubble conversation.

I wouldn’t be surprised. Games are also going on until an hour or two before it’s released. So time might just be that tight to get all results in. At least for seeding, if not for who’s in and who’s out.

Important to note, Katz is making a prediction on where he sees things ending up. Lunardi, to use another well known national journalist, has us as 9 seed if things started today. Last year Lunardi ended up 67/68 on who got in, FWIW.

I agree with this. I also think the style of win/loss will mean a lot. A close game and neither team is gonna hurt too much from the loss. If either team wins going away it could end up being bad news for the other team on selection Sunday.

Especially on the road. We saw similar bumps from losing at Illinois and beating Wisconsin at home last week.
