How did Derrick Walker fit into the offense?

Locked in cloud cover here in Minneapolis with no hope. The last one though in 2017 I got to watch totality from my childhood driveway, so I'll take the tradeoff.

Gary fits better in that wing role than always having to guard guys bigger than he is. I think another big would be huge to get him out on the wing.

Yeah, given how the season played out, and how his knee is right now, I think Reink might welcome a little post help. We didn’t have a backup center last year and he had to carry more of the load than he probably should have. If Reink stays now, we won’t be asking our forwards/wings to play out of position as much. That’s a nice selling point for players we’re pursuing out of the portal at those spots.

And if you start it at 7:30 on the east coast, people on the west coast are still at work for the first half. It’s easier to stay up later than leave work for most people. And this game is taking place in the Pacific time zone, which has to factor into planning with regards to people actually attending the game. Just tough to make everyone happy with four time zones to consider.

Getting enough size that Gary doesn’t have to play the four would be ideal. So having three solid players other than him to rotate at the 4/5 would be great. About 27 minutes each.

Yeah, we started Allick and Mast together toward the end of the year. Mast and Morgan wouldn’t be a fun scout for other teams. I haven’t watched much film on him though, can he be the primary defender on opposing fours in our system?

My goodness, Portal Combat is gold.

I went to NCAA.com to see where all these players rank in three point percentage and Tominaga SHOULD slot right behind Gohlke, (#66, 37.64%) at #67 (37.62%). But, he’s not listed at all.

This is why JL should be higher than #431, or whatever it is.

That dye creeps in through the scalp. He’s basically huffing paint all day everyday. What do you expect?

Some players move up and out as well. On to pro ball either in the NBA or overseas, leaving room for players to move up/laterally in the portal. So as long as there aren’t as many or more players just quitting at lower-level programs, the potential for more upward movement is there.

Still be a shame.

It also shows me that portal rankings aren’t the most meaningful. A lot of players leaving because they weren’t in a situation that allowed them to showcase their talent. Like Lawrence, who played out of position this year because we needed him to. His ranking is grossly deflated because of that. I’d take his re-commitment in a second and he would likely be the lowest rated player from the portal we get.

Be a shame if they hired Buzz and A & M had to start a coaching search. I heard they just hired a new AD.

Yeah, I see this more of taking Keita’s spot and giving us a true backup center. Because who was that this year?

Never under estimate Just For Men. It’s carried Underwood this far. I’m sure they’ll be good again next year.
