Iowa has been solid for years. Megan Gustafson nearly got them to the Final Four. Iowa is not going to be the Little Sisters of the Poor just because Clark. Martin and Marshall are leaving.

Basketball is still a premier sport. Cook deserves every dollar he earns for developing a monster program that must be fed. VB could overtake BB nationally as more girls are playing at the scholastic level than play BB.

If McCabe couldn’t play for Iowa why would she be able to play for Nebraska?

It’s hard to turn down Kentucky if they come calling.

UConn has too much for Purdue. I will be pulling for the Boilers but they are going to be overmatched.

The Nebraska WBB program is on solid ground. We have demonstrated this past season we can play with the best (Iowa) and lose to the worst (Rutgers) or get blown out when not ready to play (Ohio St). So there is still work to be done. With the West Coast teams entering that work became much more difficult. Juju Watkins will be a matchup nightmare for every B1G team. I think we will be competitive and maybe that’s the most we can expect.

Edward’s had knocked Marshall down earlier in the game and no foul was called. I think it was a foul but the inconsistent application of the rules is maddening and leads to the wild conspiracy theories flying around social media. It detracts from the solid job Marshall did guarding Bueckers, those key turn around jumpers by Martin and the solid game by Iowa’s post player.

Wish her well. More important than she can live a long and healthy life rather than be able to play basketball. It’s remarkable she was able to perform at such a high level.
