I would like us to push the ball in transition more. It seemed to me that we were able to get better shots than in half court offense. I like Ulis at point guard. The small lineup was effective but against top competition it may be a liability. St Mary’s lost their best player to UConn so am not sure what the Gaels have. They will be well coached and our toughest test yet.

Trying to figure how at half we have 45 points. Must be free throws and some transition baskets. Berke at the five is not too bad for the lineup. It will be nice if we get Bryce and Juwan both on in the same game. Nice minutes from Jacobsen.

South Dakota State has a culture of success. They are well coached.

AW knows how the players perform in practice. Maybe Rimdal coming off the bench is a good thing as she supplies an offensive spark. We have a nice team.

I was pleased to see a little more focus and intensity in the 2nd half. Potts has been our most consistent player so far. I believe Rimdal should start, she has been solid every game. We still get careless with the ball and when we pick up our dribble in half court offense we have trouble executing a pass against pressure. South Dakota will give us a real test prior to our Omaha visit.

8-0 run at end of half gives us a 10 pt lead. At least our newcomers can make free throws. Not an impressive performance. Southern is not letting us get many open looks for threes.

Our free throw shooting needs improvement. Quickness and effort favors Southern after one quarter.

Searching for a combination that can function together. Didn’t see it tonight. Credit B-C for playing with effort and enthusiasm. It’s a step forward.

My goodness. This game is dreadful. Nearly unwatchable.

I am not sure the best team won today. I was impressed with SEL and how they executed both against man and they diced up our zone. We all know that quickness is going to hurt us but I was surprised that their big girl neutralized Markowski. Two factors won the game for us, excellent three point shooting 14/29 and our depth may have worn them down. -Potts is our key player, she wants to win -Hake played solid -Weidner was not on her game -Berte R played well -Bozan continues to impress -Alexis was not dominate on the boards Good test and without Prince. Hopefully we step forward.

Fred was right. He said the Vaqueros were dangerous. Hope that Brice is ok. We aren’t the quickest team and we will need some consistent scoring options other than Brice. Keisei provided so much spark and energy that is clearly missing.

We are a work in progress. I kept waiting for a back door cut against their defense. The Vaqueros are athletic and defend. If they keep making a reasonable percentage of threes they will be in all the way.

Took care of business with everyone getting playing time. -Omaha was a mismatch -Potts is good -Weidner played point -Bozan has potential -Nissley can shoot -Defense needs to improve in the half court -Moriarity is still offensively challenged but works on defense -Too many, 20+ turnovers against an overmatched opponent -Markowski was solid -Grace Cave is a small school player who could have been a nice reserve for us. -officials called traveling!! But called plenty of ticky tack fouls
