Very bad basketball by both teams. Other than Rimdal’s drive to the basket the 2nd unit was content to jack up threes. Alexis has taken a couple of miserable shots and now Penn St is back to within 4. I am disgusted by the lack of offensive play.

Today’s game is extremely important to the psyche of the team. Need to get some confidence back. May not be much of a crowd.

We have a tough team. A big win when Connor couldn’t make a shot. To be fair, the Bruins also shot poorly. Nothing is going to be easy for us but we should not be easy for any team we play IF we can take that defense in the road.

Aaaauuuggghhh! When you milk clock you wind up with poor shots. Attack the basket!

Can anyone tell me what is and is not a foul in this game?

Offense has went stagnant.

If we can take care of the ball the rest of the way it should be a victory. Keep getting Brice to the line.

Baskets are a rare commodity. It looks like it could be tight to the end. If one team gets hot then the game may get out of reach.

UCLA in Lincoln, hard to believe. Huskers-71 Bruins-68

We didn’t shoot well because we couldn’t get good looks at the basket.

First time seeing Michigan. They are tall and can run the floor. Hanging with the Bruins in the third quarter.

Hope we can bounce back against Penn St. If we can match up athletically we can compete. We were outclassed today.

Halfway through the 4th quarter and we haven’t scored.

Maryland and Ohio St will be challenges for USC and UCLA. Otherwise they will be fine. We have no excuse, we had three days between games and no classes.

It got away. USC is putting so much pressure on us that we can’t get a good look at the basket. I hope we keep competing in the 4th or we will really get lit up.

Juju is really good.

We are having a terrible time getting a decent shot in half court. I don’t consider threes by Markowski and Petrie to be decent shots. Bad turnovers continue to hurt us. I do like our effort.

We are playing with much more effort and determination today. We blew a lead of five but need to hang in until half.

You mean that they are bigger and faster? Yeah.

Petrie came to play. We need to be strong with the ball as USC has stripped us several times. We seem to be more energetic on the boards. This is tough assignment.

As much as I love Potts as a great player and competitor, we would have still been torched by UCLA.

Good effort in the first half on defense. Southern had pushed A&M and was quick defensively and really attacked the offensive boards. Hopefully we can find a way to score against UCLA as they will not let Connor get his.

The Iowa staff clearly develops post players and/or identifies potential in their recruiting.

I like our team but we could use that athletic, good ball handling wing/guard who can beat the defender one on one. Those are hard to find. I noticed our screens weren’t effective because the defense was prepared and quick enough to get through the screen attempt. Britt may soon realize she is going to need the weight room to get stronger. I think the girls will give USC a good battle.

Alexis is a battler but she was overwhelmed by the Bruins size and quickness. Her one FG was an excellent quick left handed move to the basket. Bozan faced the same issue and threw up several sloppy shots. USC has the Stanford transfer at post who will present a big challenge. I think Alexis will bounce back against SC but we just don’t have the talent to match the Trojans.
