Their frontcourt is gonna be stout next year
-
Playing time increased towards the end of the year and he had some big games. I like that he had 12 games where he shot 100% from the field. Means he knows his role and doesn't try to stray too far away from it.
-
I don’t think WE know, but I’m sure the coaching staff does and I’m not sure we’d offer him an NIL he would accept if he wasn’t healthy.
-
I’ve got Connor sharpied in as a starter. Don’t @ me.

2025 F A’mare Bynum -> Ohio St
millerhusker replied to Cowboy Kermit's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Derrick Walker is a coach on Bynum's EYBL team this summer -
His game is more similar to Isaac Copeland than Gavin Griffiths
-
I like Amos. I don't blame Kyle for going to UCLA but kinda seems like he strung our staff along while wanting to end up anywhere but Lincoln.

He looks longer, more athletic and more skilled than the guy he'd be replacing (Allick).

Their baseball coach sounds less than impressed

William Kyle Transfer -> UCLA
millerhusker replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Is that according to Trilly? That guy is brilliant. Waits til a situation is 50/50, makes a guess and relies on the fact that most people will remember the 50% he gets right and not think about the 50% he gets wrong. And gets 40k people to pay him $1/month for it. Anyway, if that's true I think it'd be a decision Kyle regrets in the future. UCLA has two transfer bigs who played very well at the high major level last year. And have two true freshman bigs who each started 8 games last year. Three of those four players project as future draft picks. Three of them are pretty versatile but won't play the 3 next year as their 1-3 spots are full with five talented guards and wings. So they have nine players currently on the roster who have proven to be productive at the power conference level. Mick Cronin typically plays 7 or 8 guys in his rotation. -
Career 73% from the field raises eyebrows. However, Wilhelm Breidenbach took his spot in the starting lineup this year.

It seem like we're recruiting as if it's true that Mast will be sitting out next year so this may just be evidence that Igor is not coming to Nebraska
-
A new Luca follow
-
Judging from his interviews, he knows better than that.
-
Just a brutal offseason for Ben Johnson thus far
-
yeah, the whispers are indicating he's going to sit out all of next season
-
In a perfect world we'll get William Kyle and Mast will be 100% healthy going into next season. We're not lucky enough to go 2 for 2, so I'd be happy with one or the other.
-
Sounding like Igor likely to Tennessee according to On3. It'll be interesting to see who else we're after.
-
Wait, huh?
-
You can be a Creighton fan. They're super athletic.
-
We now have 6 players who have averaged double figure ppg in their careers. I'm guessing we'll add at least one more. Kyle and Igor would both be in that category. Plus Sam, Ulis and Griffiths have all been contributors. Don't think Nebraska has ever had that much previous year(s) production on the roster going into a season.

‘23 was the senior year of one of the greatest players in Big Ten history in TJD. Really don’t think Ballo moves the needle much for that roster despite his ranking. You could argue Ware was just as good a center, if not better. And a better fit next to Reneau, as he could step out and hit an occasional three. Much more versatile defensively too. The backcourt is definitely more talented with Rice. Not impressed with Carlyle. They still have no pure shooters and will likely have the same spacing issues. They will probably be ranked pretty high in the preseason though.

Indiana got Kanaan Carlyle. So now they’ve added two combo guards who each average about 1 made three per game on low percentage. Next to Galloway who does the same. Their McDonald’s AA three point sniper decommitted. They swapped out their 7 footer for another who is also an elite rebounder (not their issue) but is less versatile and less athletic than Ware. Which should effectively clog things up even more next to Reneau and all their guards who can’t shoot but also don’t have any amount of room to penetrate. Their fans are super pumped about their #1 rated portal class though.

Almost brought us Roburt Sallie and Toni Soda in the recruiting class with Sek Henry and Ryan Anderson

Yep. He’s the best basketball player of all the shooting guard Tominaga types we’ve been after in the portal imo. Given the opportunity (and assuming he’s healthy) there’s no reason he can’t have an improved version of his freshman season next year. All the tools are there. His true freshman year was equal to that of the second half of Keisei’s 4th year junior season.
