From Wisconsin site: Frankie will visit nebraska later this week and Wisconsin this weekend. Moving quickly. Alabama is after him too. Nearly their entire rotation is made up of mid-major transfers.
-
Frankie’s Instagram post that started some buzz in Lincoln, Omaha and Madison included himself, Chucky and William Kyle. Note that it did not include Dotzler (and there are plenty of photos out there of the four of them). FWIW……

I’ve speculated about potential future lineups all year round, every year for decades and I will not stop now :)
-
He should move down a level and I’m guessing he won’t have a choice. Georgetown was his only other high major offer out of high school and I don’t think there’s anything he did this year that would make a high major team want to use a scholarship on him.
-
If Sam Hoiberg transfers anywhere other than somewhere to be on golf scholarship I will be surprised
-
On my way too early depth chart for next year I didn't include Rice. I thought this was to be expected. Assuming Hoiberg gets what he wants in the portal I think Rice was still two years away from being in the rotation. The sky is not falling. If there is a mass exodus from our core rotation the sky might start falling.

I don't know, but I guarantee you we're recruiting him this time around. We didn't recruit Sam Griesel, Rienk Mast or Juwan Gary out of high school and they all had "bigger" opportunities than Nebraska while in the transfer portal.

Kyle was south of 200 pounds as a senior at Bellevue West. Was listed at 215 pounds last year as a freshman and 230 this year. He's chiseled, looks like he still has more room to fill out and seems to be getting more athletic as time goes on. He's probably just scratched the surface of his potential with two years left to play college ball, whereas Allick was pretty much a finished product by the time he got to Lincoln as a 5th year senior.
-
Need to bring William Kyle home. He's gonna have a lot of offers. He is turning into an absolute monster. Same dawg mentality as Allick, but a bit taller, more explosive and a lot longer. 6'9" with a 7'3" wingspan and 40+ inch vertical. I heard that he led the country in dunks this year. Can't figure out how to verify if that's true. Summit League DPOY, first team all-conference, conference tournament MVP. Shoots 62% from the field and is a real rim protector. Humble kid, academic all-conference. I'd take him over Omoruyi or any other big in the portal and not because he's from Omaha.

A&M has missed 11 free throws in the first half. They are a poor free throw shooting team. They missed 5 total in our game. Cool.
-
I’d guess he comes off the bench but would not surprise me if he’s in the rotation. His high school teammate now at Iowa State has had no issues adjusting to the high major level.

It’s a guarantee that whoever replaces KT will be longer, stronger and more athletic. If CJ does indeed leave, the same could be said about that spot. It is imperative that we keep a certain level of basketball skill and IQ for Fred’s offense to work the way it should. Perusing other message boards this year, our offense was the envy of most big ten fan bases.

This. I don’t want to be what Indiana or Rutgers was this year. Both teams much bigger, longer and more athletic than Nebraska. We’re in good shape. Just need a few pieces. A good combination of continuity and pieces to fill a couple voids but ones that fit into the established culture. Just like last offseason.

You had Johnny Manziel in your section!? -
That’s William Kyle on the right. He would not be a fit in Wisconsin’s offense.
-
He already tried his hand at being a head coach and now he’s in the later stages of his career. It’s possible, but I’d be more concerned about an assistant coaching offer in his home state, like Michigan.
-
We were ranked to start the year in 2014-15 and 2018-19. As of right now the top 5 in Big Ten preseason would likely be Oregon, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa and Purdue. Minnesota should be top half also. This will obviously change a lot in the offseason, but top half isn’t a stretch at all. Should be top third.

Houston was winning by about 25 in the second half of that game. It’ll be interesting
-
I might be the only one left who still thinks it could’ve been a good matchup for us. Yeah they’re more athletic than we are. But so was K-State and many other teams we beat this year. A&M averages 6 made threes per game. In the first 10 minutes of the game last night they went 6-7 from three. We were still winning at that time but from there the lane started to open up for them. They kept making threes so we couldn’t take anything away at that point. If they shot just a respectable 35% from the arc (much better than their average) and we make 5 of the 7 or 8 essentially uncontested layups that we missed, we win the game. A&M earned the win, no doubt. I’m gonna be real pissed when they come out and miss their first 7 threes tomorrow.

Someone at the game said it seemed like Juwan was saying his goodbyes to staff and teammates when he was subbed out the last time. Would be a bummer. I’m hoping the majority of our core comes back. Especially him. -

They average 6 made threes per game. They made 6 right out of the gate in this one which just opened everything else up. -

Everything is sooo easy for them right now
