2025 Juco G Abdul Bashir -> Auburn

I don't remember, but the people who seem to know stuff say we're bottom 4 in the Big Ten for basketball. Which isn't really a surprise to me. -
2025 Juco G Abdul Bashir -> Auburn

The on3 guys say we just didn't have enough money for him. Same with Chucky and Igor Milicic. And others. Hopefully Fred never leaves because nowadays the first thing new coaching candidates will want to know is what the NIL budget is for basketball and they won't like what they hear. -
Yep. Before today only 17 teams in the country had 6+ quad 1 wins. And only 12 of those teams have 5+ road wins.

I take back everything I said earlier in this thread. Proud of these guys -

That's a slight push in the back but no play on the ball. Why is that not a flagrant if the one in the first half was? -

Just take Brice and Juwan out. Juwan is getting owned nearly every defensive possession. And Brice is ineffective on offense. -

Agreed. No lack of effort on his part. -

I would say the only two good rebounders on the roster and Mast and Berke. Regardless, this is about heart, hustle and discipline. Northwestern isn't very big or athletic. -

Sometimes I wish I was a fan of literally any other college basketball team -

Not a great time for literally everyone to play poorly. Brice needs to wake his ass up. No more lazy turnovers and missed layups. This is embarrassing -

Juwan is playing bad, bad defense. -

Northwestern isn’t even playing all that well. They’ve turned the ball over and missed some easy shots. And they’re stilling beating us by 17. -

He, Morgan and Gary are all very poor defensive rebounders. People will disagree on Gary, but he is. -
uneblinstu's postgame chatter : vol 17; ed 25-Maryland

I had a real hard time believing this so I had to look it up, considering he doesn't appear to have an inherent feel for rim protecting or a knack for rebounding. His career high in blocks is 6 and that was against Cal Poly. In 140 career games, he's had double digit rebounds in 10 of those. He has the measurables, no doubt. But he doesn't have the intangibles. -
I dislike him, but I'm glad he's part of the game. Villains play a role in the story of basketball. He was kind of born to be a college basketball villain and he has fully embraced that role.

Not on paper. But it definitely puts more pressure on each game going forward. All you had to do was hold serve at home and you'd be dancing. Now, you likely need a road game. And might need two to feel comfortable if you don't beat Michigan at home. And absolutely cannot lose to Minnesota. The radio and podcast people have been talking as if Penn St and Northwestern are automatic wins and they are wrong. I've been more nervous for this upcoming road stint than the PNW one, by far.

Too similar to the Iowa game. Just throwing it up at the backboard. We also desperately needed him to grab more than 1 defensive rebound tonight. This was a game we needed Connor to make some shots and unfortunately that didn’t happen. -

Uber talented, but they don’t have the mentality to win in march. A healthy Nebraska would’ve won tonight. -

Big talent discrepancy. Everything looks easy for Maryland and hard for Nebraska. Doesn’t mean we can’t win. -

We’re getting decent looks when we get a shot off. Some of them will start to fall. But can’t keep wasting possessions with turnovers. Why do we turn the ball over so much in the first 8 minutes of every game? -
Need Rutgers to win some games down the stretch. Not having any quad 3/4 losses is big for the resume.
-
It has to be, though. Some teams last night had some really quality close wins, but saw very little movement in the NET this morning. But USC beats Penn St by 25 at home and moves up 8 spots.
