I’d guess he comes off the bench but would not surprise me if he’s in the rotation. His high school teammate now at Iowa State has had no issues adjusting to the high major level.

It’s a guarantee that whoever replaces KT will be longer, stronger and more athletic. If CJ does indeed leave, the same could be said about that spot. It is imperative that we keep a certain level of basketball skill and IQ for Fred’s offense to work the way it should. Perusing other message boards this year, our offense was the envy of most big ten fan bases.

This. I don’t want to be what Indiana or Rutgers was this year. Both teams much bigger, longer and more athletic than Nebraska. We’re in good shape. Just need a few pieces. A good combination of continuity and pieces to fill a couple voids but ones that fit into the established culture. Just like last offseason.

You had Johnny Manziel in your section!? -
That’s William Kyle on the right. He would not be a fit in Wisconsin’s offense.
-
He already tried his hand at being a head coach and now he’s in the later stages of his career. It’s possible, but I’d be more concerned about an assistant coaching offer in his home state, like Michigan.

We were ranked to start the year in 2014-15 and 2018-19. As of right now the top 5 in Big Ten preseason would likely be Oregon, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa and Purdue. Minnesota should be top half also. This will obviously change a lot in the offseason, but top half isn’t a stretch at all. Should be top third.

Houston was winning by about 25 in the second half of that game. It’ll be interesting

I might be the only one left who still thinks it could’ve been a good matchup for us. Yeah they’re more athletic than we are. But so was K-State and many other teams we beat this year. A&M averages 6 made threes per game. In the first 10 minutes of the game last night they went 6-7 from three. We were still winning at that time but from there the lane started to open up for them. They kept making threes so we couldn’t take anything away at that point. If they shot just a respectable 35% from the arc (much better than their average) and we make 5 of the 7 or 8 essentially uncontested layups that we missed, we win the game. A&M earned the win, no doubt. I’m gonna be real pissed when they come out and miss their first 7 threes tomorrow.

Someone at the game said it seemed like Juwan was saying his goodbyes to staff and teammates when he was subbed out the last time. Would be a bummer. I’m hoping the majority of our core comes back. Especially him. -

They average 6 made threes per game. They made 6 right out of the gate in this one which just opened everything else up. -

If the refs are gonna let them be physical on the offensive glass, they have to let us block out physically. Horses**t call on Allick -

I would say they are making our offense more uncomfortable than we are making theirs. Fortunately we’ve made shots. But we need to defend much better. -

Josiah doing great work on the boards but can’t miss those bunnies -
New Mexico really relies on a couple inefficient guards to take and make difficult shots…

Our Big Ten opponents are improving our metrics. Torvik now has us #20. Offensive efficiency is #31 and defense #21.

Solomon Washington is one of the better three point shooters on their team at a blistering 27% on 45 attempts. -
Dae Dae and the Dukes could give Illinois a run for their money
-
I didn't see one person on ESPN or CBS pick Michigan State. So far Mississippi State looks no better than the entire bottom half of the Big Ten sans Michigan.

He played against colorado last year

Yeah it would. I think/hope “Culture fit” will be the first thing on the checklist when evaluating any portal player. Cliff would fit better with Hoiberg’s first few teams than these last two. William Kyle and his 7’3” wingspan could protect the rim pretty well. He’s got a conference DPOY under his belt now. And he checks the culture fit box for sure. We’ll see if he enters the portal.

He’s a good center. I would not reach out to him.
