We played poorly against a pretty decent team. It stinks. But now we move on.

With the 6:30 start time and the closed streets (due to destruction work) I thought the crowd was late in arriving.

This. We were watching this as well. He seems totally unconnected.

Man, we must of simultaneously been typing this up...

As I was driving home, I realized we still have not played a really good 40 minutes of basketball. Maybe versus Oregon State, but there were still lapses in that game. If we continue to grow and improve, we can be a pretty darn good. We are missing some parts that may prevent us from being elite; but there are a lot of good teams that fall into that same category. One question, who here believes Keisei is 100% healthy? 21 minutes last night left me shaking my head. People can complain about his antics (there were none last night), complain that he doesn't pass (oh yes he does...perhaps too much), that he doesn't defend (maybe not elite; but average or better with some big plays), and other various complaints; but defenses game plan around him and he electrifies the crowd that is in need of stimulation. Not that I have thought about it much.

...and then they start out the 2nd half with a made three. I can tell you that my body language was pretty pathetic as well.

Man...

Fugly first half. Much better 2nd half. - missed Mast...a lot. - we looked gassed in the 1st half. - it was a win. In past years, that was a loss.

I was lucky to be drawn as a coach for the day through the Rebounders Club. Missouri game. Danny gave his pregame speech and we exited the locker room. I was geeked out...Danny said one thing to me...to paraphrase...this is going to be flipping fun, but remember only one darn individual on our bench gets technicals, so keep your darn flipping mouth shut.

Yeah...so we Nebraska fans go from being happy with any win, to only being happy with a 40 point curb stomping...uh-huh.

They also have a transfer that just became eligible due to the recent court decision. I believe he played well in his initial game. Yes, we should win this game in the 20 point range. Obviously if we play like unmotivated poop, and they play well, bad things could happen. We are a veteran team coming off, arguably, our two best games; sooo...

I will be joyous when he is on campus and takes his first snap. Until then...

Us 77 Them 65 I worry a bit about a mental and perhaps physical let down after a tough four game stretch as well as the Christmas break.

I absolutely understand the angst of defeat. I despise losing, lack of effort lack of execution and poor attitude. But giving up is not in my DNA. Good lord, I have been a Husker basketball fan forever, and I haven't given up yet

What amazed me, and kudos to the KSU players and coaches, was how aggresively they defended our players with their hands, not so subtle tugs, grabs and pushes, without drawing fouls??? That was a clinic. It seems that most teams draw fouls with those techniques. Yes indeed, amazing!

...another thing I liked is that we really didn't play that well offensively; yet we still dominated them. The domination was due to effort, defense, smart play and overall outworking a pretty good team.

That was a nice win friends. It may have been one of the better second half's I've seen in quite a while. TEAM effort. Special shot outs to Sam, Reink and Jawan.

Workman type win. Nicely done ladies.
