Why? Because he offers help as a defensive presence in the middle and is a rebounder. I like the Australian kid, but I dont know if he helps in that area.

I can't imagine a better fit. He is exactly what NU needs.

If NU gets Agau and McVeigh out of yesterday then it will have been a very good day. -

transferring. I, for one, hope he comes to NU. http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/12/18/akoy-agau-louisville-loses-former-top-100-big-man-to-transferd/ -
I am pretty surprised by his success. I watched him quite a bit in high school. He would show glimpses of his talent , but then would disappear for very long stretches. I am happy for him and UNO though. Like to see the local kids do well and Hanson seems like a good dude.

I don't post often because A. I tend to overreact (I know of one particular time here that is still very embarrassing) B. I'm not that informative C. I'm not that funny. However, I absolutely love this sight and the program though. I have not been to many games. I have listened to most of them on the radio. And for some reason, I think that has made me such a huge fan. I do know the biggest fans are here and it is not even close. Generally someone always sees something I don't and offers perspective of why something is working or not. That is what I appreciate the most.

I'll guess Jamal Jones from Texas A&M. Averaged 13 points and 4 rebounds last season.

Andrew White III - Kansas Transfer
imnothipp replied to uneblinstu's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
FWIW There is a post on RSS that he did not visit FSU this weekend. Apparently FSU backed off. I have no idea how valid the post is. -
People don't want to give McDermott any credit for being a good coach/recruiter. I am all in on Nebraska, but McDermott has proven he can coach/recruit in my book. Two recent examples are the Nevada and Boston College transfers. This was no time for a desperate offer. McDermott offered him, based on what Patton did in his camp and for what he projects to be down the road. I have a feeling, 5 years down the road, Mcdermott will be very happy with how he develops. And if not, he rolled the dice on a local kid who happens to be a seven footer. Worth the gamble in my book.

Alex Illikainen - PF - 2015 prospect -> Wisconsin
imnothipp replied to uneblinstu's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Seems awful odd that he may have been a Creighton lean, yet Creighton takes Patton. I wonder if Creighton cooled on him? Creighton certainly was not in a desperate position at all. I think he would be a great get, but something is not adding up. Especially the fact he does not seem to want to do interviews. However, he has been busy switching high schools and I am sure that was a very difficult decision and has taken a lot of his energy. Timing of that seems a little weird too, coming off the 2 visits. I could be reading way too much into this. I guess we will see. -

Kansas Transfer Andrew White III Hearing From Many Schools May 21st, 2014 8:12 pm Transferring Kansas guard Andrew White III is wide open in his recruitment and is hearing from a ton of schools. “I’ve been hearing the most from University of Maryland, Richmond, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Wake Forest, Miami and Florida State,” he told SNY.tv Wednesday evening. “I’m going to get with my family soon and start figuring out how I should handle my visits, so I don’t have an exact timetable on it. At this point I’m still open to any offers.” The 6-foot-6 White played 25 games his freshman season averaging 5.0 minutes and 2.2 points per game in 2012-13. This past season the 6-7 Richmond, Va., native appeared in 19 games and averaged 5.9 minutes and 2.3 points. Photo: KU Athletics

I'll throw a name out there. Just a total guess on my part, but he shows NU interest in his profile. Has an offer from George Mason. Omari George 6'4" 170 https://rivals.yahoo.com/nebraska/basketball/recruiting/player-Omari-George-135551;_ylt=AogoOqCcJ6sbeWAv0dh8lVhWs5B4
