  1. Verge at the Point Wilcher/B McGowens on the Wings Walker/Wilhelm Down Low Let's ROLL...!!!
  2. I’m going, & I’d forgotten Colorado was in the Sweet 16 last year. Should be a good test…
  3. Glad to see that New York Pipeline is ALIVE & well, it’s hard to underestimate how valuable this will prove to be moving forward…
  4. Who can forget when those two “middling” programs squared off in the 1986 NCAA Tournament with 6’6” Bernard Day starting at Center for Dave Hoppen. Clem Haskins was your Hilltoppers Coach…
  5. Me too, the operative word there is “could.” I love the versatility & range Breidenbach & Edwards bring, but Walker is a load down low. Diaper Dandies all around, can’t wait to see how it unfolds…
  6. Could be our Starting Five by Mid-December…
  7. I’m taking the Bobcats & the points… little to well known fact: Peru St. is the OLDEST institution of higher learning in our great State!
  8. Absolutely not, but conversely they DID happen. That’s why our success this year (regardless of what it is) should be viewed through that prism…I can almost hear Jim Nance now, “coming off of back-to-back 20 loss seasons the Nebraska Cornhuskers are poised to make their first ever Sweet 16 appearance”!
  9. Upper half of the B1G Conference seems realistic, after that we’re playing with “House Money” remember those back to back 20 loss seasons weren’t a fluke…
  10. I’m sure there’s going to more than a few of those “Holy S**t” games when ALL of our 3 point shots are falling & we boat race some good teams who didn’t see it coming & THEN couldn’t stop it…
  11. It’s easy to forget sometimes that we have such a high quality Coach & that this program is about ready to take off in a BIG way...
  12. Rambis was Head Coach of the Timberwolves while Fred was in the front office...
  13. As long as he’s never compared to Billy “the Whopper” Paultz...
  14. Starting two Freshmen (potentially) has the latent benefit of showing all our Blue Chip recruits that Fred isn’t afraid to play you right outta the chute...
  15. Having 3-4 (5?) knock down shooters on the floor at any given time can make up for a LOT of deficiencies in other areas. I take heart with that 11 pick knowing that Miles took two 13th place preseason picks to 4th. Fred’s due for his big jump this year & the prognosticators are just hedging their bets...
  16. Our first Tournament win won’t be singular, it will be an Elite Eight or Final Four run where in the immortal words of Bum Phillips, “last year we knocked on the door, this year we’re gonna kick that Som-Bi**h DOWN”...!
  17. I’d bet a million bucks NO one in the State of Nebraska has seen more Timberwolves Basketball then myself & Fred Hoiberg...!!!
  18. Hey, if one NBA draft pick equaled 7 wins last year, than TWO should be worth at least 14... right???
  19. I’ll stand by it, but we’ll see won’t we?Mind you, they won’t be lottery picks, & I’m still hoping Bryce becomes SO enamored of Lincoln & his College experience that he sticks around for year two, but these are debates it’s fun to have for a change...
  20. Denim, Omaha next, the headline writers heads have to be spinning...
  21. Yes, Alonzo & Bryce. No certainties mind you, but the MOST likely...
  22. I’d say it’s safe to say we’ll have TWO players taken in next years draft, & probably a total of 4-5 (from the roster) that we’re getting long hard looks today for future reference...
  23. Earvin “Magic” Johnson shot a set-shot & he did alright, & your point about the space between Durant & being REALLY good is important. Bryce doesn’t have to come in and dominate, just add a piece to an expanding & improved puzzle.
  24. I’m selfishly hoping he comes back for his Sophomore year to win a B1G Title.
  25. He won’t have the Grateful Dead showering with our cheerleaders in the locker room though...
