    Absolutely not, but conversely they DID happen. That’s why our success this year (regardless of what it is) should be viewed through that prism…I can almost hear Jim Nance now, “coming off of back-to-back 20 loss seasons the Nebraska Cornhuskers are poised to make their first ever Sweet 16 appearance”!

    Having 3-4 (5?) knock down shooters on the floor at any given time can make up for a LOT of deficiencies in other areas. I take heart with that 11 pick knowing that Miles took two 13th place preseason picks to 4th. Fred’s due for his big jump this year & the prognosticators are just hedging their bets...

    I’d say it’s safe to say we’ll have TWO players taken in next years draft, & probably a total of 4-5 (from the roster) that we’re getting long hard looks today for future reference...

    Earvin “Magic” Johnson shot a set-shot & he did alright, & your point about the space between Durant & being REALLY good is important. Bryce doesn’t have to come in and dominate, just add a piece to an expanding & improved puzzle.
