  1. Granted, Jordy was no Olajuwon on the block, but that oh so slow hook would go in from time to time. This is why I thought it might be time to start Brady with the Big 4. Gives you a weapon in the lane, let’s see what he’s got. He didn’t even play against TT... I know Allen gives you another shooter but I’m curious to see what a Brady/Cope/Roby frontline would look like.
  2. All-time series is 26-25 Bluejays & it took a 7 game winning streak to pass us by. We’re about to take our rightful place as the Alpha dog in the great state of Nebraska. Creighton belongs in the Big East about as much as WV belongs in the Big XII ( or Maryland/Rutgers in the B1G, but I digress)
  3. I can’t argue with any of that, but I for one am sick to death of “humble pie” & “teachable moments.” I’m ready to be the hammer and not the nail...
  4. No tcp it’s not... I heard Kirk Douglas was 102 yesterday and thought, Wow - I NEVER want to be that old...
  5. OR to use a baseball analogy, “You can’t win a Pennant in April, but you can sure lose one.”
  6. I’m on a Lakers board too, which is a dips**t convention by comparison, filled with people who have NEVER played basketball other than shooting around in the driveway. God bless us everyone...
  7. Well boys, it's time to rollup the sleeves and get to work, kinda like after the St John's game last year, except Tech I'd say is a far superior team. Win on Saturday, then roll into Clemson with a little bit of steam. Upward and onward!
  8. That was a sobering loss that only underscored some things we already knew: -For all of his shortcomings, Jordy gave you a low post prescence & was someone you could dump it down to on the block. We’re missing that. -Not enough fast break/transition buckets. - Lack of scoring off the bench. Time to get to work and not let one loss become 2 or 3
  9. He needs a baby-hook, turn around “J” and some back to the basket moves. I’ve harped on this before, but man you see the potential and his tentative offensive play and it’s maddening.
  10. In case people have forgotten, Tubby Smith NEVER had a winning Conference with the Gophers...
  11. I'm layin' even money that Palmer comes out tonight, gets 25 and makes it look easy...
  12. This isn’t meant to be a knock on Roby, merely an observation, but right now he reminds me of a poor man’s Scottie Pippen minus the offensive game. He needs to look for his shot more & start finishing when he’s at the rim.
  13. Agreed, the whole thing makes my ass tired. Here’s a thought: get the ball to your best shooters...
  14. Cornhuskers 75 - Red Raiders 62 Big Red +10 - 5
  15. It’s the only one of that dozen I’ve been too & it was years ago... listen to the guy with the local angle.
  16. Kelley’s bar Westport, oldest bar west of the Mississippi (so they say) Gates BBQ of course for the ribs...
  17. I think they're all smart enough to realize their individual success depends a great deal on the teams success. A deep tourney run means they have put up the numbers to make that happen and more and more people will be aware of that. P.S. I think Roby sticks for his Senior year regardless of what happens this season.
  18. I'm always baffled by the GIANT stores along the freeways in Missouri that carry nothing other than Porn/Booze/Fireworks&Guns. I hesitate to call them "Hillbillies" I prefer to think they've distilled our wants & needs down to their essence...
  19. if we ONLY go 11-9 in the B1G I'll eat my hat. Remember, for those keeping score at home, I had us at 25 total wins...
  20. Go Wolfpack, Go Hoosiers! Lots of interesting matchups... looking forward to seeing the Huskers get pushed.
  21. Why wouldn’t you lead off with the #1 ranked team in the Country?
  22. I like what he brings up top in that zone, and I have faith he’s gonna get those ticky tack fouls reigned in. (fingers crossed)
  23. I’d like to see us run more of that 1-3-1 with Roby on the point, Palmer/Copeland/Watson, and then Brady at the rim.
