Just throwing it out there... greater demand, greater interest, more money involved. Thoughts?

Growing up in Superior I was able to get Nuggets & Spurs games on the radio late at night. Lots of great games with David Thompson & George Gervin. The greatest Dunk contest was still the one at the ‘76 ABA All-Star game with Thompson, Larry Kenon & Dr J.

Anyone attending the Final Four?
Handy Johnson replied to Blindcheck's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Sadly, I won’t be in the Cities until the following weekend for Twins/Tigers - Twins/Bluejays. -
Or maybe something with a “Jackwagon” reference...

Sounds like one of those flights Fred was taking today was to have a sit down with Mr Jervay Green. If we could hang on to Roby, Green & Burke that at least gives you an offensive foundation to build around.

It's the little things, the details we take for granted that make up the whole. When you go on the LJS webpage and click on Huskerxtra, the headings across the top are, Life in the Red - Football - Volleyball - & Recruiting. Let's hope after yesterday Basketball won't get an eyeroll from the bartender when you ask them to change the channel to the game, Spring Football will go back to being treated like the glorified practice that it is, and maybe, just maybe you won't have to EXPLAIN to people, even here in Lincoln, why yer a Husker Basketball fan...

Here's some candidates: '88 over Danny Manning & National Champion Kansas, '94 Big 8 Tournament over Missouri, who was the 1st team to go 14-0 in Conference play, '82 over #1 ranked Mizzou in Colombia, '65 (?) over Cazzie Russel & top ranked Michigan. Lastly, '91 over Steve Smith & #5 Michigan St began the run of four straight NCAA tournaments.

Sophmoric sexual innuendo aside (which I love) they changed it from the "D" League to the "G" because Gatorade signed on as their main sponser.

Andrew White III was on the Atlanta Hawks bench for a cup of coffee last season.

Hoiberg is “n” - with the logo I mentioned above. Go Big Fred! - Too obvious, Too easy You’ve seen our Bush, now check out the Drapes! - probably inappropriate Anyway just spitballing here, can never have enough Husker Hoops swag...

Age is just number, but I graduated from the U in ‘91 and always considered that season a gift from the Basketball Gods after sitting courtside the previous 5 years. Andre Smith was my idol as a kid since I played some Center at Class B Superior at 6’1”. So many names and memories, Jay Randolph on the Big 8 broadcasts, Cipriano, Stan Cloudy with that Red/White & Blue NIT ball... I’m ready like the rest of us to see what this next chapter brings, GBR!

Mark Mauer, who was the Head Football Coach at Hill Murray High ( think Creighton Prep) was busted at a motel in Fridley MN with a “C” note, a pocket full of Viagra & and an undercover cop posing as a hooker about 3 years ago...

Just from the scuttle butt I’ve heard sounds like he was kinda Home Sick. Wish he would’ve stuck around, but good luck to the young man.

Hey Linoma Beach is my “fake” hometown on my Burner account... -

While it’s nice to have a Stretch 4 on the roster & small forwards who can handle the Point, there will always be a place in the game for a Chandler/Ffriend/Diaz. -

Iowa has absolutely NO reason to look down their nose at anyone. Omaha looks like Rio during Carnival compared to Des Moines on a Saturday night. -

I lived in the Twin Cities when Fred was a player & in the front office with the Wolves. He’s a lot funnier than he let’s on, as evidence by the zingers he got in on the Cyclones/Hawks! Love it ?Welcome home Freddie... -
There would be no Fred Hoiberg if not for Tim Miles...
-
I played against Mike Martz when he was All-State at Beatrice. Pick-up games against Junior Miller, Doug DuBose, and many lunch hours at the Coliseum vs Tony Davis...

A longer tie has a “slimming effect” that’s what Donald Trump told Chris Christy. (true story)

No Husker Hoops Just Hoiberg Hoops Now

I just assumed we changed the school colors to Red n’ Gold in his honor... get it? Mayor, His Honor? Sorry.... -
I’m not on Twitter so I’m guess I’m shunned again for being a “Tech Dinosaur” that being said, I’d be happy with any of those but I’m partial to #3 & #4.

I watched “Fletch” again last night & had forgotten George Wendt plays a Junky/Beach bum named Fat Sam. Sadly that movie doesn’t hold up as well as “Caddy Shack” or some others from that era.

Woo Woo here comes the Hype train!

Can we let let Coach Hoiberg & Frost build a resume HERE before we start sizing them up for a bust in the Hall of Fame? Do we have a Top 10 coaching duo? I sure hope so & I’m absolutely thrilled with both hires. But as of April 1, Scott is 4-8 & Fred is 0-0. Patience my friends, patience. -
I would be OK rolling with that 8 plus a couple of BIGS off the transfer market...
