  1. I really can't stand it when our low shot clock go-to play is just to throw up a 3-pointer.
  2. And no disrespect with this comment, but he was also the best bench guy. He gave our team a lot of energy even when he played 0 minutes.
  3. The state of Connecticut doesn't touch a current Big Ten state, so that's out of question. They only seem to care about adjacency and number of eyeballs. (Plus, we don't need another Rutgers football team.)
  4. Here's an interesting tidbit. We all know half the equation. Nebraska is looking to continue a school record 21 consecutive home win streak. Michigan State is looking to continue a school record 19 consecutive Big Ten win streak.
  5. Vietnam and Cambodia. Our travel group wanted to check off Asia and China is a bit questionable right now and Japan is worth one trip only. I still want to go to some of the other places so might be going back someday. I don't know if I'd define China as "most fun," but "interesting" certainly has fit the bill for me. Have a great time at Angkor Wat. That's quite a sight to see!
  6. It looks like Minnesota forgot how to play basketball. Road games are tough.
  7. I got you covered! The bonus for the OSU game is # of assists by NU, in case you want to predict that now.
  8. Bus and/or flight schedules can be very tricky. You never know what kind of weather or force majeure could cause us to miss the tournament!
  9. It's still hard to believe that our 4 losses are a Top 25 (average: 23.75) team in and of itself. Texas Tech: 5 Maryland: 17 Iowa: 28 Minnesota: 45
  10. I thought the same thing the other day, but it's not as great as I remember it. We're 0 of our last 3 against Michigan State. Home: 1-3, Away: 2-3 since joining the Big Ten. (Home: 0-2, Away: 2-3 when Michigan State was ranked.)
  11. It is my goal that by the end of January, we can confidently change this thread title to "Nebraska Selection Sunday Seed Watch."
  12. Believe it or not, we're a month away from the long road to Omaha:
  13. Does the parade route go through Lincoln and Omaha?
  14. Not that it matters, but I was looking at the team sheets and the DII Southwest Minnesota State game shows up on there along with the score. Shown as: "Non-Div I Games: Southwest Minn. S 79 38"
  15. Is that when the "defunct Nebrasketball fans who converted to Creighton basketball fans" start coming back to Nebraska's side and say: "This is so awesome! I've been cheering for them my entire life! We did it!"
  16. Not as good as when we were #1 at the start of the season...buuuuuuut, I guess I'm okay with it.
  17. Michigan State is also a very good team. So whatever happens, happens. But should things go south this next game, people just need to realize that we're up there with the likes of MSU, Kansas, UNC, etc. right now.
  18. The Indy Star doesn't have very nice things to say about last night's game: https://amp.indystar.com/amp/2559936002 "This IU loss was disgustingDuring this disaster, IU fans couldn’t leave Assembly Hall fast enough. Which improved the atmosphere, honestly, because while they were here, they were booing." "...blowout loss to Nebraska, the darkest moment of an IU basketball season." "...if it sounds like I’m pushing the panic button, good for you. You’re listening to me." "This was their third straight loss, but it was nothing like the first two, losses on the road to two of the Big Ten’s top three teams, No. 2 Michigan and Maryland. Those losses are bad because, when you’re IU, any loss is bad." "But this loss was bad because the opponent was Nebraska, the location was Assembly Hall, the score was lopsided and the fan base was booing. Then leaving. The exodus began with 3½ minutes left..." "They left, and while I’m not a big believer in fans leaving early — and I hate it when fans boo the home team — the Hoosiers gave them no reason to stay." "This brutal stretch, which could see the Hoosiers slide from their current No. 24 ranking to the wrong side of the 2019 NCAA tournament bubble, starts Saturday. At Purdue. Oh, things could get worse, IU fans. Things could get a whole lot worse."
  19. Speaking of which, our "Marist"/"Delaware State" nightmares this season are: #314 Western Illinois #330 Southeastern Louisiana State #347 Mississippi Valley State (out of 353 teams)
  20. A Quad 1 record of 1-4 doesn't really scream a #13 team. But with that win, we're now 2-4 which is moving us in the right direction. Still many more opportunities to improve on that.
  21. This is some crazy company to be part of!
  22. Completely unrelated, but impacts Michigan. Syracuse beat Duke on the road in OT.
  23. Medis: "Seton Hall and Indiana just weren't ready for a middling Nebraska team."
