Nebraska - 68 Northern Kentucky - 48 -
Looks like Jordan Hare has left URI. http://www.providencejournal.com/sports/content/20141114-uri-center-hare-leaves-program.ece

Here's the write-up for that game. It was on ESPN2 apparently. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPID=24&DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=90285 "Both teams struggled in the first half, as they combined to miss their first 15 shots from the floor before Dourisseau’s basket at the 14:35 mark gave NU a 2-0 lead. The Huskers were holding a 6-5 advantage when John Turek came off the bench to spark a 13-0 run to put Nebraska in control."

There's a nice FREE Rivals story on Andrew White today, too. https://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1691769

New Walk-on BJ Day F from Lincoln Southeast
swoof replied to TheKamdyMan's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I just saw this story on the main ESPN College hoops page. Speaks to the media attention the Huskers are going to be getting this year if an injury to a freshman walk on makes espn.com. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/11672120/bj-day-nebraska-cornhuskers-tears-acl-miss-season -
Haha, same here. I'd love to get another shot at those guys in their house after our overmatched performance two years ago. I was impressed with the number of Nebraska fans I saw at that game, though. We are everywhere.

IIRC The Killigans had a song used in the 2010 Ridley Scott "Robin Hood" movie with Russell Crowe. I believe it was re-recorded using traditional instruments.
-
Tai checks back in at the 3 minute mark. 65-65.
-
Corey has really taken over here.
-
NZ finally getting some shots to go down. They missed so many layups in the first half. Amazing they have cut it to 2.
-
I completely missed that play. Only saw the end of the replay when the guy was going down. It looked like he was hurting pretty badly but I didn't see the foul.
-
Tai played the final 3:40 of the 2nd quarter, picked up a couple steals and played some solid D as NZ cut the lead to 10 at half, 36-26.
-
NZ getting run off the court by Lithuania, 23-9 after the first quarter. Tai played the entire quarter and hit both his shots, though. One was a nice layup over a defender on the break. The other, a jumper from the top of the key.
-
I took this picture when I was turning on the game this morning. Found it interesting that Tai got top billing on the Tivo menu.
-
Fran has mentioned Coach Miles and Nebraska several times already halfway through the first quarter.

I havent seen anything saying McIntyre took a job with Oregon. Nevermind I see youre referring to Mennega who was at CIA back in 2012 and prior but has been at Canisius since 2012. yeah, I should have been more specific. This is just what a few of the Oregon fans i work with who are way down on Dana were telling me this morning as i bragged about getting a 2017 commit.

Altman's just helped out his thin as hell roster. According to people around here who know such things, Dixon's AAU coach was hired by U of O right before the reclassification and commitment. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24666097/four-star-dillon-brooks-commits-to-oregon-reclassifies-into-2014

That article confused the hell out of me at first. What, did Tai change his last name? He looks a little younger than I remember from the last instagram pic that was posted. Maybe we ought to get in on the other Tai. He's the son of a world champion woodchopper for pete's sake.

Curious if Biancardi says anything about Morrow in this Insider article. http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncbrecruiting/on-the-trail/post/_/id/10707/the-nbpa-top-100-dream-team?refresh=true

Great win by Costa Rica who will probably win their group now. Just a stunning effort against a strong Italian side. Kept Pirlo on a leash which England couldn't seem to do and their high defensive line offside trap worked almost perfectly. Can't see a demoralized England hanging with them. The poor CONCACAF region is looking good in this World Cup. USA needs to beat Portugal to keep it rolling. Wonder if we'll see Zusi and Wondo starting with the aim of pumping in tons of crosses hoping for Wondo to pounce on a rebound. Striker options aren't great.

http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/05/26/report-nebraska-a-leader-for-kansas-transfer-andrew-white/ Good news it appears. Notre Dame, Florida State, Wake Forest, Miami and Maryland have reportedly reached out to the North Carolina native, but White’s interest seems to be piqued by another school in the midwest: Nebraska. The in for the Huskers? Assistant coach Kenya Hunter, who recruited White when Hunter was still at Georgetown.

After the original blog? http://huskerhoops.blogspot.com/ Ha! I'm one of the three comments on the second post on that blog. I totally forgot Dave started it with blogger.

yeah, i've been waiting for Robinson to be shown the door for awhile. I just wonder what took them so long. It sounds like all three of the players were suspended and Artis decided to transfer. He was also suspended for 9 games this past season for selling Nike shoes that were supposed to be returned to the team. The status of the other two is that they are suspended right now but nobody knows anything beyond that.
-
Altman has himself a mess now. Starting PG Dominic Artis has announced he is transferring. Brandon Austin, the SG transfer from Providence, will never play a game as it appears his legal troubles in Rhode Island were bigger than anticipated and now I just saw that Damyean Dotson, a junior wing is also not participating in team activities. http://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/index.ssf/2014/05/dominic_artis_brandon_austins.html

Loved listening to Dr. Jack talk about basketball. Nice to see the Blazers get their first playoff series win in 14 years on the night they honored him. And speaking of tonight's win. Interesting tweet on Lillard's offers when he was coming out.
