  1. He's just a junior so I'm hoping the shot will develop over the next couple years. Heck he might be 6'8" by the time he's a freshman and can slot into our roster of 12 6'7"-6'9" guys by then.
  2. Yes, really good interviews with Aguek and Chubick, Sr. I wish the camera would have captured Chubick's face when Aguek went down hard on that alley oop attempt.
  3. Nice little free video on Rivals right now about last night's game. https://www.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=928&CID=1833551
  4. I just figure if the pundits are starting to talk about it, why not us?
  5. I didn't see a thread for this yet but if i missed it please merge. I know it's early but I noticed USA Today's Shelby Mast just released his first bracket of the season today - http://www.bracketwag.com/. Huskers are in the "other teams considered for at-large" group at the moment. Only has 6 B1G teams in which seems low based on what I've heard others saying.
  6. A. Post's film has me extremely excited. When is he signing?
  7. NU - 78 Jerry Rice - 55 9 wins I hope opening on Saturday helps us avoid the Wisconsin, Illinois, UCLA outcome.
  8. Flying Husker Dutchman Jason Dourisseau trolls Plaxico Burress after his post-game outburst.
  9. That's pretty cool TP5 made the Grantland RIP banner. I'm incredibly disappointed ESPN axed it. Simmons went out on a bad note and apparently worked behind the scenes to make it even worse but Grantland had a lot of great writing. I follow a lot of free lance sports writers on twitter and they were all losing it over this. I hope some organization that doesn't have monetary ties to any of the major sports leagues pops up to provide a platform for that kind of writing. But hey, maybe ESPN can add another couple hours of First Take or a clone show that appeals to the same audience. Here is one of my favorite tweets making fun of First Take's stupid argument for the sake of argument model.
  10. Changing my vote to this year. I think I've solved the height problem provided Morrow can quit cutting his hair and grow a decent afro. He'd be at least 7' according to Fletch, and Fletch has never led me astray.
  11. I voted a year away. This bit of info gave me hope on the post game.
  12. IIRC, Kazemi had some game in college; I would imagine he'll likely compete with other 'bigs' for a roster spot at the post position. Kazemi was a nice player for the Ducks his only season here. He definitely played bigger than 6'7". He was also very steady and unflappable and was the leader from the beginning of practice that season. I'd like to see him have some success in the NBA but I hope it's not at the expense of TP. Luckily they don't play the same position.
  13. I love this. "The committee also passed a rule which denies a driver the ability to draw a foul simply by jumping into a defender when he goes up for a shot." I just hope it is called consistently.
  14. Damn, probably among the Hawkeyes' all-time best. Great guy. I remember some basketball mags like S&S touted him as the next Jordan back when he started at Iowa. Obviously, he didn't live up to that type of hype but he was a great college player in his own right. Those mid to late 80s Hawkeye teams with BJ Armstrong, Brad Lohaus et al., were very, very good.
