  1. If he'd had offers from Kansas, MIchigan St., etc, he'd already have at least that many!
  2. Now a Rivals 4-Star and #106 in the Rivals 150. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Isaiah-Roby-166450
  3. Remember the FIBA 3 point line is 22 feet 1.75 inches on the arc and 21 feet 8 inches in the corner so we're taking longer shots by over a foot no matter where on the arch we're shooting from in these games.
  4. I give the article 5 Koolaids Holy cow, that guy loves Glynn and he is a big Hawkeye fan so that Koolaid is not being sipped from red-colored glasses.
  5. So sad. Rushing home on Friday nights after football or basketball games to watch Jeff do the high school scores was part of growing up for me.
  6. Heretofore undiscovered 5* big man immediately eligible to play has enrolled at the University of Nebraska.
  7. I always watch as much summer league as possible and I'm enjoying it more this year, not only to see what the Blazers are trying to do with all the young guys they've acquired (Tim Frazier looks really, really good), but watching the Hawks. Tonight TP looked really comfortable in the offense (as much as it exists in summer league), hit a couple of nice jumpers off the dribble going to his right but he also went to his left a few times and dished the ball to a guy cutting to the hoop. Defensively he's looked good, too. He wasn't perfect but he was always making an effort to be in the right position and finding his man to box out when a shot went up. I like his chances right now.
  8. Well that was unexpected. I didn't get to watch the game but I'll definitely have to go back and watch the replay.
  9. Less than two hours until Serbia gives the Aussies a good beatdown unless something radically changed from the group stage.
  10. He did not look good in what little bit I saw of today's game. Fouled out in 13 minutes against a really bad Tunisian team. It will be interesting to see how the Aussies play against Serbia tomorrow. The Serbs are a far better squad than either of the teams Australia lost to in group play.
  11. The way things are looking Australia should easily beat Tunisia but will still finish 3rd in their group which would put them up against Serbia or Greece (home team) in the next round. Guessing that means they'll move to the losers bracket (Classification Games) for ranking purposes. BTW, Deng Gak did not look impressive at all. 23 minutes in the first two games. I barely noticed him in the Italy game. He's averaged 3-3.5-1 with 1 block in two games. He's also barely turned 17 so there's room for growth for sure.
  12. Paschal, there must be a few big schools on the east coast you haven't visited yet. Are you really sure about this?
  13. The Emus are 0-2 so far in the Under 19 World Championships losing close games to Canada 74-71 and Italy 69-67. It looks like Jack had a pretty solid game against Italy (http://www.fiba.com/world/u19/2015/2806/Australia-Italy) after not doing much against Canada. All the games including live streams can be found here: http://www.fiba.com/el/world/u19/2015/videos. Edit: Work was pretty slow this morning so I watched the Italy game. Interestingly, all of Jack's points came in the paint and he did not even attempt a 3. Australia in general was pretty awful from 3 (3-13) while Italy actually shot better from 3 than from inside the arc while hitting the same number of shots (12-38/12-28). One thing that stood out was that he was able to take his defender off the dribble from both the left and right wings and hit pull-up jumpers in the lane.
  14. Now he's visiting Syracuse this weekend according to Rothstein.
  15. Box score https://twitter.com/chadfordinsider/status/598959179567468544/photo/1
  16. Must be nice for him to have more than one scoring option on the floor at the same time.
  17. I'll pass on Shaq's kid if we can get Manute Bol's kid.
  18. Washut says Molinari coached his HS coach in college.
  19. From what I can find on twitter it doesn't sound like he's graduating, just released from his scholarship. Had a bad season at UNM, mostly due to injury: http://www.mwcconnection.com/2015/4/8/8370263/new-mexico-basketball-season-review-jordan-goodman
  20. I just don't think he'll get drafted but he could catch on in the summer league with a team and get signed. I will definitely be paying attention since I watch way too much NBA summer league. I think his turnover problem was a result of him being the point most of the time in NU's offense and also being the guy who wound up with the ball as the shot clock ran down. In an NBA offense where he's playing a true wing I think his shooting percentage should go up and NBA defense rules should allow him to slash a lot more. I'm sure he's working on his off-hand as that was the biggest problem I saw with him all last season. If he doesn't make it in the NBA right away, he can definitely make more money in Europe than he can hanging around the D-League. He's got the talent to play for a good Spanish or Greek team, I think. But, guys in the D-League make it in the NBA every year. I guess it's where he feels most comfortable. Best wishes to him wherever he goes. He was the most electrifying player we've had since, I dunno, Lue. Good company.
  21. Just a hunch but I'd say the timing more than anything. The coaching carousel has spun down quite a bit. I guess this also answers the question in the McVeigh thread. If Miles didn't know until yesterday then I'm guessing McVeigh didn't have any idea either.
  22. Really kind of shocked the Harriman thing came out of left field as Miles is saying.
  23. What makes you say that? Is there some news that hasn't made it to this board yet?
  24. Yeah, I guess I don't pay attention to other schools' pressers when they have a player leaving early and I cannot remember whether Nee was there when Lue announced he was leaving.
