  1. NIce numbers in his first two games.
  2. I follow a few players on twitter and maybe five or six times have given a player a "Great game tonight!" or similar comment but have never said anything negative. I never dig deep enough into a player's mentions to see any of the negativity. I don't doubt it exists. I'll keep a closer eye on it and call idiot "fans" out if I get the opportunity.
  3. 25 minutes (more than double what he had been getting) in a 1 pt loss at Air Force. 6 points on 2-4 shooting from 3 pt range (he did not attempt a 2 pt FG), 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 turnover.
  4. If Shavon continues working on his post moves it's quite possible we could see him at the 4 a lot next season with TP and AWIII at the 2 & 3, especially if our starting 5 is still playing on the perimeter and Hammond is not ready to play a lot of minutes. It would probably help him get to the line more, too. There have definitely been smaller players who have held their own in the low post in the past. I'm not saying Shavon will suddenly be Adrian Dantley but a reasonable impression of Dantley could be possible.
  5. 9 boards to lead Hutchison, too. Things are definitely trending upward with him.
  6. Committed to Kentucky today. ESPN story originally had a picture of Tai Webster instead of Wynyard. https://twitter.com/YungSillyDuffer/status/559504264012120064/photo/1
  7. That cross-over step back 3 was so out of left field but it shows you what he is capable of when he has confidence. It's almost like his success on the defensive end (save for rushing out at 3 point shooters a little too aggressively) the last couple of games has given him more confidence on offense.
  8. I didn't realize what a small town Roby plays in outside of AAU season. Dixon is that town off I-88 on the way to Chicago that is the birthplace of Ronald Reagan, a bit bigger than Beatrice. Not really surprised he is dominating in his high school league.
  9. This sounds like Roby is having a nice impact his junior season http://www.saukvalley.com/2015/01/06/boys-basketball-roby-dukes-swat-away-trojans/aclp61a/ Isaiah Roby isn’t the trash talking type, but if he was, he could crow, “Not in my house.” Dixon’s junior forward swatted away 10 shots, tossed in 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Dukes to a 65-52 victory against Mendota in a key Big Northern West game Monday in Lancaster Gymnasium.
