Good. You should totally take him to a women's bowling match (do they call them matches?). If that doesn't cause him to commit on the spot, I don't know what will. Speaking of yawners, that Nebraska-Iowa football game was nonstop action, wasn't it? I was in Vegas at the time siting in a sportsbook waiting for the Creighton-Wisconsin basketball game and they actually turned it off to turn on something more exciting. This discussion has spiraled out of control (I probably had a hand in that, sorry) but I just want to point out that a sportsbook flipping channels from one game to another has nothing to do with if the game is exciting or not. It all depends on how much action there is on each particular game.

This is true, but I don't think staying here was that tough of a decision for Benny. Stay at a school in the Big Ten with great facilities, academic support, training table, etc while learning under a great coaching staff or transfer to low D1 with none of those amenities. I think Benny HAS to make an impact this season if he wants Miles to honor his scholarship going forward (also depending on if we take an extra recruit). I hope he turns it around because he seems like a good kid and like you said, seems to enjoy it here and get along with his teammates. Regardless, if we do over sign it will be a tough cut to make. Both Benny and Vucetic seem to really enjoy it here and don't take it for granted which isn't always the case for our athletes Both were Freshman think we should give each of them at least another year before we throw them under the bus. Totally agree with that, I'm glad Miles didn't reach in last year's class just for the sake of filling a spot. Let the freshmen develop and see if they turn into useful pieces. That said, if a Leon Gilmore or Jonah Bolden want to commit and we're already at 2, you don't say no. Take 3 guys and there will be a battle for the final roster spot next season.

How should we use the last 2014 scholarship. Poll
Concrete replied to FredsSlacks's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
That would be a home run class for anyone. I can't see it happening, though. Gotta walk before you can run (unless Tim Miles is calling the shots, I guess ) -
New PF/C offer 6'9'' David Wacker out of TX
Concrete replied to TheKamdyMan's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
If Miles views Wacker as a better prospect than Miller, I'm not going to second guess him. Our coaches have earned the benefit of the doubt up to this point. We should all be able to agree on that. -

Concrete replied to TheKamdyMan's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
We're definitely looking for 2 bigs, Miles stated that was the case a while ago. However, if someone like Gilmore or Bolden wants to commit I imagine we'll oversign -
Where did you see that at? I hate when the Jays piggyback on us. He tweeted it. I think August 24th or something. They're taking him to the big UNO vs Creighton soccer match..... We should bring him in the following weekend while that's still fresh on his mind and take him to the Nebraska/Wyoming game. Seems like a pretty nice way to say "Creighton is a joke"

Miller, Gilmore, and Bolden are the three I think we should hone in on, at least from the names that have been mentioned so far. I like our chances with Miller and Gilmore, Bolden is a long shot but i think Harriman could pull it off if a few things go our way (ie some of the bigger programs inquiring fill up). If 2 (or somehow 3) of those guys want to commit, you find a way to make room IMO.

Any info on how they fit? I vary between a L and XL.

Who will start (primarily) at the 3 this year?
Concrete replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Gotta go with Petteway only because I think both him and Shields HAVE to start. Shields seems to have a bigger frame than Petteway so I'll put Shields at the 4. -
I live in the Haymarket and agree that parking down there (even driving) is an absolute disaster right now. That said, the garages will certainly help that out and not having to drive through multiple lane closers/wait on forklifts driving down the street will open things up nicely. Luckily I won't have to worry about driving/parking for games until I decide to move in a few years so I'll be interested in seeing how it works out. They will have multiple exit ways out of the arena thanks to the new road they're building, but the Haymarket is a pretty congested space for traffic with or without construction. I can't imagine it will be worse than the Bob, though. That was absolutely awful.

I don't believe so. Although this could be a perfect time to just walk in there and test the "act like you are supposed to be there and no one will ask questions" theory.

The Oklahoma offer bothers me. They aren't a good team by any means, but they are very close to home for him. Nobody bring up Agau or Matt Hill, either. We aren't Louisville or Texas. Edit- I didn't realize he decommitted from Oklahoma. That changes my opinion for sure, but I'm not sure how much. Also, he's a 4* on ESPN: http://espn.go.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/146294/jacob-hammond

Who is Matt Davidson? Is he friends with Grant Winstrom? He runs around with Tommy Frazier and Tom Osbourne, too.
-
That's a sweet shirt. Where did you find that? I also like the one that says #nebrasketball with the bball imprint in the background
-
Are we even recruiting him anymore? Seems like we've turned our attention to true bigs, Gilmore is more of a 3. I also haven't heard his name brought up by Barfnecht, Washut, Rosenthal, etc. in a while. I hope we are, obviously
-
Can somebody explain why all the pictures have a blue hue to them?....scoreboard lights or what? Probably just the instagram filter
-
Why did he transfer? I've vetted the forum and didn't find much (any) discussion on it. I was very young at the time, but I'm guessing it was pretty devastating for the program/fanbase. Probably the first sign that we were in for a long ride over the next couple decades, unless there were other issues behind it that caused it to be a necessary move for him. Thoughts?

I'll say Nebraska wins an NCAA tournament game first. Edit: Read the poll wrong, I thought it was Nebraska wins a BCS bowl, not just makes one. I still might side with Nebrasketball though, it will be tough for us to get through Michigan and Ohio State in the coming years. Those two programs are recruiting laps around the rest of the conference
-
True, but to be fair in Miles' intro PC he said that he would wait until we have an NCAA tourney caliber team before putting together a taxing OOC schedule. I'd guess we're still a year or two away from that.

Roll Tai'd?

I've heard the same thing. Pretty exciting
