  1. ouch. will be shocked if we win this one.
  2. michigan st was smart to play fast from the start. we don't have the depth. it's showing now.
  3. how are we not guarding hauser? doesn't his bro play in the NBA. come on guys
  4. as of this morning wicsonsin was still on lunardi's last four in. if we win tonight we have more big 10 wins than them and same regular season wins....
  5. if we get to 18 wins it will mean we have beaten 3 more tourney teams. i would imagine we'd move up a lot.
  6. i guarantee the NCAA is just looking for a reason to put us into the play-in game at minimum. the ratings we'd get with tominaga + being the only power 5 team to never win. i think 18 wins is the magic number.
  7. this would be a really ugly game if lawrence hadn't got off to such a good start.
  8. i agree with whoever on here said tominaga might get us in over other bubble teams just cause of the views he brings. we have to get to 18 wins first tho
  9. i hope i'm wrong, but you have to think tominaga has a bad game sooner or later and we will struggle to win if that happens.
  10. we don't play again for 6 days. i imagine a lot of teams ahead of us will lose during that time.
  11. would we not make the real tourney if we won the final 3 games + 1 big 10 tourney game? that should be the goal.
  12. he's a redshirt freshman walkon. i'd imagine his dad didn't want to just throw him out there over 22 year old scholarship players. but he and tominaga have been game changers the last month.
  13. knowing our luck we'll get to 18 wins and not make the tourney.
  14. if jimmer couldn't hang in the nba then tominaga is not even close to an nba player. jimmer actually had handles too. if he could avg 20ppg next year an nba team might put him on their roster for a while just to sell jerseys.
  15. shame we didn't get that win vs purdue. we'd be sitting pretty good for NIT berth and close to being on the bubble.
  16. the problem with running it back is we're losing at least 3 starters from this team after this year.
  17. fred can officially say he's improved the win total every year he's been here. might be enough to get an extension.
  18. i had this same thought, but i wouldn't be against giving fred a few more years before making some sort of drastic change with the program. i have no idea who the deion equivalent is, but this program badly needs someone who is going to put a spotlight on it. if fred can't get it turned around, i'd be pretty much open to anyone who is going to bring massive change and more of a marketer than a basketball coach. i don't know if deion will turn around colorado but he's already gotten dozens of top recruits because of his social media presence and charisma.
  19. interesting to wonder where nebraska football/basketball would be if we'd kept pelini and miles. I don't think there's any way we'd be in worse shape...
  20. well that really depends who the next hire would be... there are better recruiters than fred out there who would have a better chance of getting high profile transfers.
  21. trev either needs to commit to him long term or let him go. i don't see the benefit of just leaving things in limbo after this year. recruiting has already started to dry up.
  22. i would imagine we are high on his list, but i'd be worried about purdue since they are currently the #1 team in the country and also had offered. and there's always the risk of somebody new offering that he'll be interested in.
  23. regardless if he can't replace walker and griesel with 2 quality transfers next year is most likely just another .500 year at best
  24. it really just depends what trev thinks and if the university thinks its worth spending money for a new coach. fred has failed to get the type of talent here that he had at iowa st. i'm not sure how that changes next year unless some NIL money comes in for big time transfers, or you hire a coach that has had more recent recruiting success
  25. as of now i would say this kid has more potential than anyone else projected to be on the roster next year. not sure why he'd leave. should be a starter at the 1 or 2 with his size and sills.
