I feel like this will be the year we win our first tourney game simply because at this point in the season almost nobody thinks it will happen. It would be the most nebrasketball thing ever. -

and they promptly lose by 1 to 11-14 alabama st after this post. can you point out some obscure winning streak for maryland as well so you can jinx them also???

Nebraska (14-8) vs. Washington (11-10) Game Thread
huskerkid21 replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
berke at the 4 and mast at the 5 will feed families next year, then just need some bigger athletic guards who can shoot (should be easy HAHA). maybe then need a back up athletic 4/5 to eat up some minutes when our big europeans get tired. add in hoiberg/essegian/janowski/frager and im looking at a sweet 16 lock -
step one complete

I still have hope - at least until the final whistle blows against Illinois. Lets just say we play our frickin tales off and hang on to win that one. one would hope that would be a confidence builder. at that point the rest of the year becomes win out at home by any means necessary (yes even Michigan because in this scenario in my head (which will definitely happen) we are sniffing a tourney appearance by the time they come to Lincoln and the boys know it so they go out and win that as well. On the road then its all about beating Washington while probably losing all our other road games. In that scenario we get to 19 wins and were at least on the bubble with a chance to make some noise in the Big ten tourney. And WHO KNOWS in this fantasy land dream scenario we could go out and win TWO on the road and were safely in with 20 wins!! On the other hand if we lose to Illinois in humiliating fashion we may not win another game this year. That's all I got at this point and as always go Skers #optomist

win all except for illinois/mich at home and go win at washington and either at penn st or ohio st and we make the tourney at 10-10 in conference... who says no?

St. Mary's (3-0) Vs. Nebraska (3-0) Game Thread

time to cut down on some guys minutes, our shooters (essegian and GG) need way more minutes and shots in general to actually get going - which is true for the whole team, we need our top 8 guys to really take up most of the minutes just to get some sort of "gel" going. uhlis/hoiberg (as much as i love those guys) need less minutes and meah needs to completely be situational. seems clear by watching the first 4 games but as ghost of joe says maybe the coaches are seeing someting we arent out of those guys. also very rarely have i been upset with fred about anything but what in the hell are we doing not having connor and GG out there for the final shot? really boneheaded and gave me husker football vibes. enough of the doom and gloom, i have faith fred figures it out and hey maybe we go 10 deep the whole year through the gauntlet of the big ten and it works out in our favor with keeping guys fresh who knows #GBR -
Grand Valley State vs. Nebraska (Exh.)
huskerkid21 replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
DIdnt watch the purdue game at all but my guess would be grand valley wasnt playing as inspired as they were against us... playing two big ten teams in a row seems demoralizing especially if the second one was against the national runner up. At least I hope thats what cause the disparity in the two scores either that or purdue is like 30 points better than us (as of today) lol -
https://www.si.com/college/indiana/basketball/is-indiana-men-s-basketball-better-than-nebraska-01jb0ytzkja3 Heres this if anyone wants to read a vastly uneducated writer write about our team. "That leaves Nebraska bereft of size, with 6-10 Andrew Morgan the only expected contributor taller than 6-8" Apparently Berke and Meah are no longer on the team . Oh well, I actually enjoy them being the underdogs again

a little late to the party but im going with glynn watson because I wasnt alive to watch most of the guys everyone is talking about. wouldve loved to be alive in the 90s when basketball and football were actually winning most of the games they played but i feel like the future is bright for both!
