After Friedrichson, Sallis, and now Kyle, I'm starting to think Steve Forbes' recruiting strategy is just "see who Fred offers, then offer them a big bag."
-
I *really* wanted this kid, but figured it was a no go once we signed Worster. The only one higher on my list is William Kyle...hopefully that one works out better.
-
I'm not sure how it's debatable. Professional teams aren't lining up to sign guys who need surgery and rehab and need to sit out a year. Other leagues don't have the deep pockets of the NBA.
-
If Mast has to be sit out either way, he is better of staying at DONU on our "payroll" and taking advantage of our world-class sports medicine.

Highlights....

If Hoiberg can land Milicic, William Kyle, and Connor Hickman we're not just talking about going to the tournament and winning a game...we're talking about more. Potentially *much* more!
-
I think he's a guy with potential that fits what Fred wants from a PG. If he's willing to come develop while competing for minutes, he'd be a nice add.
-
I'd like to be able to root for the kid, so ABC! (Anywhere but Creighton)
-
Anything can happen if he hears the right number from a pro team, but this does not sound like a guy that is planning to leave...
-
I'd like to land a former 5 star, but for some reason he just comes across as a KSU player.
-
Hopefully they can get him on campus for a visit. Then when watching film make sure all of the cut-ups are from our 3 wins against Indiana.

A team that makes the NCAA tournament?
-
Ad those two are basically the same guy.

Good and great are subjective terms, so I can't argue anyone's opinion on that. However, I strongly believe it was a great season, and "great" might not go far enough. I tend to judge a season based on my expectations going in. This season I was expecting .500+ and an NIT berth and hopefully getting on the bubble and sneaking into Dayton if all of the stars aligned. This team finished in 3rd place in the Big Ten (THIRD!) and was widely considered to be a lock before the conference tournament even started. Meanwhile, the team was a joy to watch, with a fun pace/play style, always gave max effort, and no knuckleheads or prima donnas. Just because it could have been better, doesn't mean it wasn't great, at least not in my book.

I'm planning to watch at Big Red Sports Bar in on Cass, so I'm declaring that the unofficial watch site for Omaha. Sadly, I wasn't able to swing the road trip to Memphis, but I have to be surrounded by Nebrasketball fans for this history-making game.

I watched my first Husker basketball game ...
HuscurAdam replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
One of things I like about this board is it's one of the few places I still feel young . I had never paid much attention to college basketball growing up; I liked the NBA at the time and only thought of Nebraska football. During my freshman year at NU I had a buddy from Virginia who was a big Nebraska basketball fan and convinced me to get student season tickets. This was in 1993 and I was hooked immediately. My first game was an exhibition against Pella Windows or Athletes in Action/Marathon Oil when they still did those...didn't matter. Those Nee squads played a fun brand of ball and I was shocked at how much more fun it was to go to basketball than football games. I watched all of the (Raycom-Phillips 66) road games on the big screen in the Selleck game room and had the high of winning the Big 8 tourney and low of getting smoked by Penn in the Big Dance that year. I figure if I could survive the Collier era after that exciting start, I can handle anything! -

I'd rather play a not very deep PSU team with tired legs. If we push the pace like Fred wants, then we should be able to run away from them in the 2nd half.

Anyone have any experience or recommendation on the best way to get B1G Tournament tickets? I'm thinking of waiting until Wednesday night or Thursday to see if I can snag some reasonably priced tickets off a fan of a losing team. Is that too much of a risk? Am I better off trying to get tickets now?
-
But, what if...and hear me our here... one just can't stand Wisconsin and wants to see them lose regardless? I'm confident NU will handle business and earn that 3 seed; we ain't gettin' left out the dance.

Ok, but how do you know this? Like I said...I've heard everything under the sun about where our NIL stands (for basketball specifically). I just don't know what to believe.
