Congrats to those two!!!

What would hvae hopefully happened in the multiHuskerverse is that you stopped playing Gary and Bando at the same time all game. Start to get you going defensively, but then you stagger their minutes with other shooters being in there. What's scary is to ponder just how important Sam Hoiberg has been, and how little (never) he would have played. Seriously, he makes like the same 3 or 4 big plays to close out games every time. 1 huge 3, gets to the free throw line, gets a steal and/or charge. Some huge tip so we get an O rebound.

What do you feel he needs to continue working on? To me it looks like body development is the biggest thing. Consistency in his game will come with time and maturity.

Michigan State towards the end of the year... what can you say? Often the last possible team you wanna play. To add - that's what's always crazy about MSU teams. They can have a bunch of nobodies you've never heard of, but if you actually get to see them up and close you realize, at a minimum, they physically just have DUDES. Probably why it takes them so long to gel at times; not everyone is necessarily a elite ball player but they are an elite athlete.

I also saw tired legs last night. Senior night got them through the 1st half with one of the most active and inspired defensive performances I've seen. But then in the second half the juice was gone. Feet weren't as choppy, rotations were late, didn't get loose balls and a lot of rebounds. Think they finally hit an emotional wall from the past month. Hopefully they can regroup and kick Iowa's ass.

Hmmm... Looks like a solid basketball player. And Illinois has offered so who knows. But I watched the kid from Millard North last night play against significantly better competition than that kid did in those clips and he looked just as good, if not better.

2024 kid to watch - Elijah Gaeth from Millard North. Young man can HOOP. 6'3", long point guard. Handles it super well, his shot is be-a-u-ti-ful. My favorite part of his game was the way the ball comes out of his hands while passing. Just gets to places on the court, in the correct plane, that's kind of uncoachable and clearly of a higher-level player. Skinny, needs weight room bad. I could see him being a streaky and a little too ball dominant, but he's young and has the tools. But he has a game that instantly jumps out at you, and when he's on, he just looks different than everyone else out there. Want to see him down at state to see how he handles better competition, but boy Kearney could not do anything to stop him last night.

I have not seen Wes play in a long, long time - so remember that caveat. But if I remember watching him play, D2 was a perfect fit for him. Kind of a tweener. But who knows.

2024 C John Bol -> Ole Miss

It would allow us to feast on the perimeter and go over, on top of everything - along with just being in drop coverage on ball screens. Limit how much we'd have to rotate. -
I suppose I'll know if I said something wrong if a 7' Japanese man comes and beats the crap out of me.
-
That pronunciation better be correct - I'm not about to get cancelled for trying to get KT to stay another year.

From a post I read on another board: ”I found this amusing. Minnesota is terrible, so Nebraska actually dropped 5 spots in the NET Rankings overnight after beating them by double digits. They are now ranked 93. The Huskers are the only team ranked outside the top 65 without a Quad 3 or 4 loss. If Nebraska had played Penn State's non con schedule and was sitting here today with an 18-11 record, everyone would be saying Nebraska's non con was too weak. However, their game control stats would've been far more favorable which would've manipulated the Net rankings to move the Huskers into the top 60. Now if you're wondering what I mean by game control stats, the NET rankings considers offensive/ defensive efficiency, and margin of victory or defeat into their rankings equation. Wins and losses, strength of schedule, quality wins, and quality losses are only part of the equation. And for most of December and January, Nebraska couldn't score and they were blown out a lot. Ohio State, ranked 71st in the NET rankings, has gone 1-13 since the first week of January. They even lost to Minnesota. And in comedic fashion, OSU only fell 2 spots after their 3 point loss to the Gophers. Since most of the Buckeye's losses were in the 6 to 9 point range, the NET rankings seem to value those losses more than actually winning games. Ohio State only has one Q1 win as well.”
