It’s beyond infuriating to me that for, idk how long… we have not been able to find guys who excel at shooting kickout 3’s. Everyone we get who’s a 3pt shooter is 1on1 3pt shooter, or off of actions (but can’t get open in P5 basketball).

I think what I am enjoying the most about this is we have a clear identity. I know, EXACTLY, how we’re gonna look from game to game from a strategic standpoint. Win or lose, here’s what we’re gonna do and you either stop it or you don’t, type of stuff… You can also pretty much tell what kind of game it will be by the 12min mark.

With our schedule and quality wins we’ll have, getting to 16-17 wins is potentially a tourney team. chances of me thinking about that and getting my hopes up - 0%

This is just a scrappy, fun to watch, basketball team.

Erick Strickland ain’t exactly Jay Bilas - but I think he has incredible bball insight and feel, been fun to listen to this year. He really understands game flow, good/bad shots, tempo.

When does the 30 for 30 come out on Nebraska’s compliance department for basketball?

Why do you not feel that Lawrence or Dawson are likely returners? They seem just as likely to return as someone like Lloyd, who seems to be saving his eligibility?

I almost feel like I should buy a bunch of these and wait for people to realize they don't have a tickets like they though, and resell them.

Can anyone explain to me wth is going on here? I was looking at going to this game - but on Ticketmaster it says I am buying tickets for a 1pm game, and the game, as far as I understand it, is at 6:30pm....

I agree with all of this. I’ve kind of been backed into a corner as the fire Hoiberg guy, when in all reality I am not that guy - it just seems all so painfully obvious that the story is already written.

You typed a lot of words to get to this point finally. Not only do I believe this to be obviously true, it’s historically true. He has the worst record of any Nebrasketball Coach than anyone on here can remember. I’m not sure what there’s even to argue? Only Nebraska basketball fans would be like, “gosh I dunno if we can find a coach who can win more than ~38 games in five years!!!?!?!”

If this defense is going to be 100% reliant on teams not hitting 3’s in 2022 I’m worried we might have already seen our last upset.

Unfortunately I just don't think it's in the cards my man. Just do not see a way we can have a record this year that people want to stand behind and get excited about - and maybe worse - we lose the two best players who are making this work (Sam and Derrick). I just see no way we can be anything but another rag tag group of transfers next year praying they figure it out. Assuming everyone stays (highly unlikely), CJ, Keisei, Keita, Gary, Breidbach, Dawson, the will-be-sophomore group, etc... It's just not a competitive roster. I tried to be super generous with wins looking at the future schedule and came up with 7-8 more. That's 13-18 or 14-17. That comes out to a 4 year record of 37-85 or 38-84, with no scorer or proven player coming back, banking on getting a couple real, proven dudes out of the portal. Or blind luck. It greatly disappoints me, and I've really appreciated what they've tried to do this year and I like the staff he's made now... But I just do not see how you can continue to justify the lack of results. The only thing that will keep him here is if Trev/Boosters/Regents are just like, "we absolutely cannot afford to buy-out this man and pay someone else right now."
