  1. Prairiewolf or Plainsman? I was the latter. I never understood what was wrong with Plainsmen and Plainswomen, but whatever...
  2. The way Washut talked about it on 93.7 this morning, it sounds like Roby will go pro if he (Roby) believes he is going to be drafted. So if a team or 2 tells him they will take him in the 2nd round anywhere, he will leave. To protect myself from disappointment, I am going to assume we've seen the last of Roby in scarlet and cream.
  3. With the Juco leaving St. John's I wonder if he was encouraged to look around?
  4. It kind of did when Solich was fired...at least the ultimate result of being a national laughingstock for a botched search with a disappointing hire part of it. Maybe they will hire Lue. Didn't he coach for the Clippers before going to Cleveland?
  5. I would love to get Wade but I can't believe he and his wife would want to move to Lincoln, even with her ties to Nebraska. Not many in her line of work based around here. Maybe the baby changes that.
  6. My update will have to wait a month or so, I will take a picture of my new Husker license plate when it arrives: GOBGFRD
  7. Even though I waited about 4 hours to put my request in, it appears I was successful in getting personalized license plates...GOBGFRD
  8. He has nine tournament wins as a head coach. Not to mention being on Nolan Richardson's staff for 17 years. They won a few tournament games in those years, too. I agree that I'd prefer Hoiberg but this would be far better than the Bradley coach.
  9. I grew up in Lincoln and live here now but I lived in the Des Moines area for 10 years. It's in between Lincoln and Omaha in it's characteristics and size but it feels closer to Lincoln in my opinion. I liked Des Moines and would go back gladly if circumstances dictate but I wouldn't move to Ames.
  10. Apparently there is an Iowa State player named Cam Lard transferring that may be a strong possibility for Nebraska with Hoiberg. He's mentioned in the Cyclone Fanatic thread linked in the main forum.
  11. I am not a big fan of Sipple's writing but find him good on the radio. It's clear on the radio he does not treat the situation in a disrespectful manner.
  12. I don't think Bounds leaving can be a good thing for the athletic department. In the short term it will at least give Hoiberg reason to reconsider, though it doesn't mean he will change his mind. It's hard for me to imagine a president more supportive of and active in athletics, so in the longer term it'sprobably bad, though it could be neutral. Given the makeup of the Regents with their history of supporting athletics and the fact that most of them are responsible for hiring Bounds, this change is unlikely to be coming from them. So it's either truly Bounds choice or it's coming from the governor or there is a scandal coming. The timing is extremely unfortunate if itss Bounds' choice. Why announce your resignation when you're about to hire your 2nd most well known and highly compensated employee?
  13. I'm not finding the puns nearly as funny as when I posted one earlier. This really might be the most Nebrasketball thing ever.
  14. I Harvey think this is the case
  15. No idea who. The person who told me that said he stopped in Dallas and elsewhere (I can't remember where) on the way. He got that straight from Moos. I heard no other details except Moos said that we'll "know soon enough" what he was up to. None of this is remotely surprising. What would have been surprising is if anyone actually believed he needed more than 48 hours to get from Chicago to Cal's campus. But the possibility of this falling through because the ISU job might come open explains it. Unlike Steve Pedersen, Moos is prepared in case his first choice falls through. We won't be without a coach by this time next month.
  16. He did not go straight to the spring game. He made at least one stop on the way.
  17. I think coaches are fired to early more often than not, but I jumped off the Miles train today. He has to go. If Copeland is done we may not win another game this year.
