Sorry, that's not going to cut it anymore. It's essential Miles lands a solid center this year for our team's future and his future as the head coach of Nebraska. If he doesn't...things will likely stay status quo with us hovering around the bottom of the league. If we land Palmer...great, but it's not going to help us any this upcoming year. If we could land someone like Palmer and a big to help next year that would be ideal. Striking out again on landing a big and carrying over a scholorship(again)..will not be a good look. It's time to get it done. You can't necessarily work things in a tidy timeframe like that though. Let's say we have a transfer big and a Jordy that we think are likely to come here. Should we just sit around or should we schedule a guy in May on the outstanding odds that guys haven't made up their minds and we have nothing locked down until it's locked down. If we sign Jordy first and think we need/have a big man transfer coming, then you tell Palmer no thanks. We haven't used all of our scholarships yet; bring in 5 more top 150 guard transfers please. Oh no I agree...I don't have any issues with bringing Palmer in for a visit. I just don't see how we can go another year with Miles not landing a solid big man. Atleast one of the two remaining scholorships needs to go to a big man...and hopefully a big man that can help right away. Hopefully by the time Palmer even visits we have that guy locked up.

Hopefully this means we have a big who can contribute right away locked up....if not, I'm not sure why we are going after a transfer guard assuming we only have two scholorships available.
-
Well, being that we played Indiana twice this year...we only get them once next year...right? He will be a beast for them thats for sure.
-
I guess that would explain not using King during the midweek. Can't say I have alot of confidence in him as a Friday starter right now but I guess you could say that about anyone in the rotation. Hopefully it pays off...hard to win series with a quality friday guy.
-
Interesting...Erstad said Burkamper told him he's feeling fine so who knows. Explains his struggles and being taken out of the rotation.
-
I'm guessing Howell will be back in the Friday night role? Last night Erstad said Burkamper has been around 83-85 MPH and that's just not good enough. That's a pretty big drop off compared to where he normally is...I wonder what's going on.
-
Why don't you go manage the team, Sense Erstad is in over his head. I'm assuming you will not be voting this upcoming November as I'm fairly certain you are not fit to be President? On second thought, you may be a better candidate than most that are running.
-
Also McDermott has done a great job of recruiting 13 prospects that fit their system perfectly. Final four team IMO
-
And why would she leave a job with the SPURS to coach WBB at Nebraska? I can't say for sure...but my guess is she would be making more money at Nebraska than she would be at the Spurs. She wouldn't be the first, or last NBA coach to join the college ranks. And maybe she want's total control over a program? I'm not sure. Probably zero percent chance of it happening or Nebraska even being interested as I imagine we will want someone with experience.
-
I don't follow the program as much as I should...or womans basketball for that matter. But, what about Becky Hammon? No head coaching experience but would certainly be a "splash" hire.
-
Can't win them all. Really need to get the next 4 though. Our RPI is not trending in the right directon and the series vs NW is not going to help even if we come out with a sweep. Tonight will likely be a tough game as Omaha always has an extra pep in their step vs us. That, and we just don't have a reliable midweek starter this year.
-
I'm actually really surprised Andrew White didn't declare.
-
Hopefully as McSteen and Waldron continue to gather experience they will improve. It will be tough to count on our bats every single game. Big week for us in terms of RPI...5 bad teams. Hopefully we go 5-0 or at worst 4-1.
-
Posted on another site that I don't know if we have the arms to get it done. But if the bats remaind hot all year you never know. I'm still just hoping for regional play and a few wins at this point. After last years collapse I'm not banking on anything.

In the next 8 months ...

Can one develop athleticism or is it God given? Jacobson tested with the best verticle on the team...33 inches for a freshman who is 6'8. Better luck next time Tom. -
Because ... computers. I think it boils down to we have played more games that hurt our RPI even with a win. Minnesota http://www.boydsworld.com/sa/minnesota.html Nebraska http://www.boydsworld.com/sa/nebraska.html
-
That's a good question an I'm not positive but I'm guessing Nebraska playing two more 200+ RPI games at this point is the difference. Minnesota's SOS is also 33 spots higher. My guess? In addition to the "bad" games all of Minnesota's games have either been away or a neutral field which carries more weight than a win at home. Huskers have now had 10 home games. I don't think their RPI will hold up down the stretch.
-
Likely wasn't a one decided decision. Hopefully that means Miles has 1 or a few bigs lined up.
-
Always nice to beat little sister. Just going by appearance....you can tell Nebraska recruits a different athlete. Creighton was very very tiny.
-
They have won 16 out of 17 and 10 straight I believe. Don't know how good their opponents were tho. Not good as far as their opponents. They certainly don't schedule tough. Knutson is on the bump tonight which I kind of find shocking. Good stuff, terrible command. Hopefully it works out.
