Just what the DR ordered. A little worried about Schreiber though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very interesting. Illinois, Maryland, Mich, MSU, Neb, NW, OSU, PSU, Purdue, Rutgers all currently have openings.

Two nice wins in a row for them gave them a pretty big bump. Unfortunatly, one of the wins came at the expense of arguably our best win of the year. For just straight RPI ranking as long as Tulane stays in the top 50 it's all the same, right? That I'm not sure of. Obviously road wins carry more weight but it's my understanding the RPI is calculated 50% winning percentage; 25% opponents winning percentage; 25% opponents opponents winning percentage. Hopefully for our sake, if we don't win the Big Ten tournament we can stay in the top 45 range.

I would say that's pushing it by quite a bit...probably 15 MPG tops. Like most freshman post players Jordy is still very raw. He will help in that he has great size, but my guess is it will take some time to develop his offensive game and defensive abilities within our system. Unless you are a one and done type player...you just don't see true freshman centers putting up great stats right away. But, I think he can impact the game in other ways. -
#3 seed plays at 9AM on Wednesday. I would say that's likely where we will land....unfortunate for attendance if thats the case. Hopefully we can sweep Indiana and a find a way into that #2 spot.

Schreiber is just stupid right now. Great night by Burkamper as well. Our pen should be really fresh for the next two games and Big Ten tournament. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

AW-III IS BACK FOR HIS SENIOR SEASON (SOMEWHERE)
huskerbaseball13 replied to AuroranHusker's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
That's very apparent...any team tells him they're picking him and he's gone. The question is whether or not he's going to do so without a guarantee of being picked. Terran left without a guaranty of getting picked, and he didn't get picked. He took a risk, and things still turned out well for him. The question is whether Andrew is willing to take a similar risk. Looks to me like the answer to such a question is, "Yes." You may end up being right....but Terran Petteway on 4/16/15 announced he would not be returning. The draft game is different now, but if Andrew White was so gung ho on going the Petteway route no matter what....why has he not hired an agent already? Good points. Just holding out hope...Nebraska could be his fallback plan if he gets injured during work outs etc.....I think you are probably right, it sounds as if he's gone but I hope he surprises us next week. -

Most projections have us one of the last teams in....yet, some still have Creighton has a two seed which is laughable. No chance their resume is better than ours. Hopefully we just win in Omaha and not have to worry about our at large chances

Mid 90's last I checked. A very weak non-con schedule hurt them.

Should Nick Fuller's role change?
huskerbaseball13 replied to big red22's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I don't understand why people overlook Andrew White as a shooter just because he's more than a statue in college. Not to discount these other guys but he hit 3s at a Marcus Perry-Cary Cochorn type rate but did so much more as a player. I thought the same thing while listening to Nick yesterday. Apparently White is not a spot up shooter because the dude also wants to rebound? -
RPI stands at 54 right now....according to Boyds World 3-1 gets us into the top 45 of the RPI which should have us in a pretty good spot heading into the Big Ten tournament. Even 2-2 this week won't be a killer but we will likely have to have a solid week in Omaha.

BOOM! Huge get. Jordy is going to need some time to develop but he has the chance to be a good one. Nor do we have to wait years for him to be big enough to bang down low in the Big Ten. -

IMO on paper they are only similar in that they are close in where they were ranked. But, Jordy has other high major offers and some very good offers. I'm pretty sure it wasn't all Hammonds decision to decommit from OU. And more importantly, Jordy has the size to come in and play right away. Two years later Hammond was still tiny and it didn't look likely he was ever going to have the body type we needed down low. -

Jordy not visiting OSU makes me feel a lot better. If he's N, I'm not sure why he still feels the need to visit UNLV but if what the Tshimanga brothers say is true in regards to PT and academic support its obvious we are the best school. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

No, but message board group think is a wonderful thing. I get that there can be issues with message board group think. I don't think that's quite the issue here, though. It's not about what your information was and whether or not it was accurate; it's about what you proposed to do with it. That's where you ran into problems. It's kinda like, can we just cross that bridge if and when we get to it? He idea that Tim Miles can do no wrong is groupthink. Guys like Mike Schaefer even on Twitter today says he has thought all along that White is gone. This is the straw for me. Bad hires, guys leaving for non NBA teams early, etc. I can be a Nebraska fan and not support Tim Miles, just like others did when Barry Collier was here. Keep in mind that none of my Tim Miles issues have to do with things in his personal life, that isn't part of this equation. At some point it's about on court results and not being funny behind a microphone... Schaefer likely knows as little(or as much) as the next guy in regards to what White is thinking. Much of the angst is probably due to the fact that good things rarely happen to Nebrasketball and the programs momentum has been going to the opposite direction since No Sit Sunday. Miles needs White on this team, so hopefully he makes quite the sales pitch...again. -

Just came over to post that. Not sure when OK ST got in to the picture, and the Gophers dont even have an open spot... but who knows anymore. His brother Link is also taking an official to Okie St with him?? I'm not sure on that...I would be surprised if he was, considering Okie Lite currently does not have any scholarships available. -

Top of the list I think we have the potential to make the big dance. Bottom of the list I think we struggle to get to .500 or better. Big couple weeks for Miles and Nebrasketball IMO. -

huskerbaseball13 replied to AuroranHusker's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Sorry...no link, but Robin Washut was on 1620 today and said we probably won't know one way or the other until a few days or so before the deadline. AW III has several more tryouts lined up and the decision will come from the feedback he receives from those visits. If it sounds like he has a chance to be drafted or be a guy who can make his way onto an NBA team thru the summer he will likely leave. If he doesn't get the feedback he is hoping for he will likely come back for his last year. -

He doesn't have to commit/sign on May 18th.....hell, I believe he could take all summer if he really wanted to. He would just need to enroll before the fall. With that said, I bet we know his decision by the end of the month. It's probably not good news for us that he has not made a decision, on the other hand...being how quiet recruiting is right now maybe our coaches feel pretty good about their changes with Jordy.
