Halfs like that are not good for job security. That was about as bad of a half as I've seen from any team this year. Luckily we are playing Rutgers and they are fully capable of sucking in the second half.
Hopefully his return is dictated by how this team plays the next couple weeks. If we go on a losing streak there shouldn't be any rush to get him back if it looks like no postseason again. I'd rather have the problem taken care of and him to be fully healthy for his last two years in Lincoln.
9-15 at home against power 5 schools + Big East since year one of the PBA. Are we sure it's a Nebraska fan base issue? It would be great if everybody was like the diehards on this board and yelled non stop every game but that's just not realistic. It's not just a Nebraska thing. Sooner or later people get tired of losing and unfortunately this team/staff has done quite a bit of that in Lincoln the past few years.
I was surprised to see Ohio States second half stats. It felt like they were scoring every time down. But, we generated zero turnovers in the second half and topped it off with just one assist on the offensive end. That's really bad basketball.
Hang in there. Somebody will get it done...eventually. If not Miles next year then maybe the guy after that. Perhaps those that bitch about the fans will turn their attention to our mediocre home record since year 1 of PBA? Protecting the vault...nope.
Technically, it puts us at 17-14 in the eyes of the selection committee I believe. But, if we go 11-7 I have to think it will be tough to keep us out considering our RPI and SOS numbers will be very strong.
Mo Watson out of year with torn ACL. I dislike Creighton as much as the next guy but you never want to see injuries happen. By all accounts he seems like a really good kid as well. Hopefully he can recover and have a solid professional career.
Ahh gotcha, nonetheless going 2-0 this week is probably a must and would be huge. Getting to 11 wins would be doable, especially with six remaining home games after the Rutgers game.
With dropping the game against Mich we probably dropped out of Lunardi's "next four out" but...we actually gained a few spots in the RPI(46). Also, after yesterday's games...per Warren Nolan the Huskers have the #1 ranked SOS. After Rutgers that may drop back a few spots.

I don't know about Horne at the 5...that's probably too much of a task for him. But, I think some are really giving Horne a bad rap on the defensive end. Is he perfect? No. But neither is a handful of other guys. For a program that supposedly is trying to be built from defense up....we aren't doing a great job at getting stops on that end of the floor. And it's normally the same miscues that continue to hurt us.
