  1. Bangarang! On cloud 9 right now. Two unbelievable wins. PBA better be rocking Thursday!
  2. I think most of us would like to see a tough or tougher non con every year. It's no secret that those that play a tough non-con usually get rewarded come March if they are lucky enough to be in that position. Had we beat Gardner-Webb I think we all would like the position we would be in right now. That loss is probably a difference of 10-15 RPI spots when it's all said and done.
  3. Didn't get to watch any moment of the game...did we do anything different offensively? Could this team be better away from home?
  4. Didn't get to watch the game. Unbelievable win considering where this team was at. Takes some serious balls to go into Bloomington and win.
  5. I have not watched much of PSU this year so I'm not sure how much hype that class is getting but if the above is true it may be because two of the true freshman are currently averaging double figures. Outside of Glynn putting up solid freshman stats last year the other three members of the class did not really put up eye popping numbers. That's the only thing I can thing of. Does the Philly guys buy Chambers a year or two?
  6. Both I would say. NW has a solid PG and some guys that can put the ball in the hoop. They are going to be a tough out this year and may have the potential to go dancing when its said and done.
  7. That really sucks for Gill. He's had a rough couple months. Well, let's hope this team can remain out of foul trouble.
  8. You act as if Miles has developed a winning team/program. I can get on board with those who are saying let the Big Ten season play out. But, if Miles has recruited good players why do we look the way we do? If Miles has recruited good players and we win 5-6 Big Ten games again is it unfair to question the direction of the program? It's probably unfair to Miles and the program to be questioning who the next coach is. I get that. But if the season plays out like it's projected, Miles may very well be on the chopping block. If that comes to fruition, I don't know if that's the right move but just based on no extension in the offseason and the way the season is currently playing out I don't think most will be surprised if Eichorst wants to bring his own guy in.
  9. I would be very surprised if that was how Creighton fans viewed both Thomas and Patton. Maybe initially. But I work and am friends with a few Creighton fans and I don't remember that being the case...atleast in their minds. Even then, why do Creighton fans opinion on recruits matter? How does it come into play that we flat out missed on two recruits 50 miles away? One at a position that at the time we were searching for a big man in every corner of the world. This of course would be a non issue if we weren't looking at another 12-13 win season. I don't think most of us really care where the talent comes from as long as we have talent. But, the fact that we are still short on talent(along with an open scholarship, again) and instate prospects are prospering elsewhere makes it a tough pill to swallow.
  10. Indiana-83 Nebraska-67 5 Big 10 wins
  11. I can assure you that wouldn't have happened as Morrow and Daum are in different classes. It would have been Daum over Hammond or Daum over unused scholarship. Had we offered I'm sure all of us would have said whaaaaaat. But, those are the type of kids this staff needs to find because I don't see them signing top 100-150 kids every year. Especially now that they are finding it tough to come out with a winning record. Recruiting is only going to get tougher for them.
  12. And Creighton was in on Patton and Thomas before Nebraska...because????? Had Nebraska offered first would they be wearing red? Who knows..they may still have ended up at Creighton but the fact that the staff simply passed on them or did not identify them as high major talent is a bit concerning. BTW, I would take any of the above players over Miles not utilizing a scholarship year after year. Having that 13th scholarship open may come in handy at some point where we sign a mid year transfer but that's looking unlikely again this year.
  13. I'm in a college basketball pool and Cuse was my first round pick. And UCLA was still on the board.....
  14. Miles gets paid pretty handsomely as is. And, he's scheduled to make 2.5 Million by 2019. That number alone will interest plenty of coaches I'm sure. But to answer your question, no..I don't think we would or will pay our bball coach more than our football coach.
  15. I'm not really sure what you mean by the bolded sentence above. I really don't believe kids are coming to Omaha because it's Omaha. Atleast, I don't believe that would be the deciding factor. Creighton is where its at because their coach 1. runs a style of play that almost any recruit would want to play in and 2. Has done a good job recruiting to that style.
  16. Well then I'm sorry, but those coaches have their head in the sand. All you have to do is look 50 miles north of Lincoln and you will find a team/program that is currently ranked within the top 10. Although, I don't really believe that is correct. If this job comes open, there will be candidates allured by the money and the conference we play in to go along with all of the other resources Nebraska has to offer.
  17. Ohio State fans seem to be getting tired of this guy. Might as well add him to the list.
  18. Team Rankings has us at 5-13. T-Rank has us at 6-12. Seems most computer models have us around that range. Can this team surprise and get to 9 wins?
  19. Yeah, I'd say Kenpom is more accurate at this point.
  20. How do you see it shaking out? Below is based on current Massey Ratings. We are not a good basketball team. But, I'd like to think we get more than one win. I'm thinking 5-13 or 6-12 right now. http://bball.notnothing.net/big10.php?sport=mbb Big 10 Standings 1. Purdue (17 - 1) 2. Wisconsin (16 - 2) 3. Indiana (15 - 3) 4. Michigan (13 - 5) 5. Northwestern (11 - 7) 6. Illinois (9 - 9) Defeated Minnesota based on head-to-head record. 7. Minnesota (9 - 9) Lost to Illinois based on head-to-head record. 8. Maryland (8 - 10) Defeated Iowa, Michigan State, and Ohio State based on round-robin record. 9. Michigan State (8 - 10) With Iowa, defeated Ohio State and lost to Maryland based on round-robin record. Defeated Iowa based on record against #5 teams. 10. Iowa (8 - 10) With Michigan State, defeated Ohio State and lost to Maryland based on round-robin record. Lost to Michigan State based on record against #5 teams. 11. Ohio State (8 - 10) Lost to Maryland, Iowa, and Michigan State based on round-robin record. 12. Rutgers (2 - 16) 13. Nebraska (1 - 17) Defeated Penn State based on head-to-head record. 14. Penn State (1 - 17) Lost to Nebraska based on head-to-head record.
  21. 14-13 right now...but only .5 game from missing the playoffs again. Obviously they still have 50 some games left on the schedule. Hoiberg is probably a pipe dream, timing would have to be exact.
  22. And he played how many minutes coming in to tonight? Let's hope going forward he's not yanked after one defensive mistake. But man, we were bad again tonight. This looks like a 4-14 type Big ten team right now.
  23. If Miles does not work out, would Husker fans be willing to accept a past coach who has had trouble with the NCAA? I would accept Kelvin Sampson with open arms.
