Hopefully now that we are consistently putting a winning product out there some of these guys will stay their 4 years here instead of 2 here and 2 there. That’s how you build a winning program
-
Would be a nice guy to have off our bench. What was the reason behind his transfer? He played in about every game as a freshman didn’t he?
-
Agreed. The down year last year hurt him. A big ten championship could certainly tilt this arguement tho

Nebraska High School Basketball (18-19)
B-town hoopsfan replied to Huskerpapa's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
The only outside skill he needs his first year on campus is the willingness to shoot the wide open threes and hopefully hit them at a 30 some percent clip -
Be nice to start seeing some serious offers to big guys start going out. I suspect a win Thursday over a national recognized brand could really be a spring board for our recruiting efforts
-
To bad this wasn’t a Saturday home game. Gonna be a crazy environment would be nice to get some recruits in house for both football and basketball

-big boy game by tanner tonight. Can you imagine if Brady takes the leap that he has from last year to this year? Just on bein in the right spot like tanner always seems to be would do wonders for Brady. -anyone hear is Amir just working on getting his legs back still? -speaking of Brady I still hope to see him in every game -Tom is going to be such a fun player once his role increases, I suspect there’s a lot of untapped dribble drive in his game -the BS first two fouls on roby prevented this from being a 30 point blowout road win vs a top 25 team. As it stands it was a wire to wire blowout win vs a top 25 team in a top ten venue in all of basketball. With mr moos in the building. Suck it miles haters

Woulda been hard to have a rooting interest either way in that one as the refs were real bad both ways. Let a ton of contact go IMO and Maryland shot atleast 15 more free throws

2018 SG Ochai Agbaji -> Kansas
B-town hoopsfan replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Kansas pulled his redshirt. He’s in the rotation now and definetly looks the part. I’ll give it to Miles he knows how to identify talent that the rankers don’t necessarily see. -
Was like 6/15 from 3 point range I think. 14 of those were hard shots imo. 2/3 from free throw line. He’s quick, can dribble, and can definetly shoot it. He never really ran balls to the walls though and kinda seemed to just float around the floor. Any of you guys ever see him in person? He had some trouble w the older of the three refs tonight, was a pretty bad no call on him in the 3rd quarter the he probably let bother him the rest of the game( led to his own mini 8 point run where he was talking smack to the crowd ) he’s only a junior so I don’t see the whole refs thing as an issue. ended up getting lucky and sat right by his family, bro was decked out in Wisconsin stuff and the lady I’m guessing was his mom is gonna make a heck of a husker fan. bottom line is I think he’s going to be a pretty good one. Could probably come off the bench if he was on campus right now. North Star wasn’t what I expected for a class A school. Wondering if he possibly goes somewhere else for his senior year or some guys come in and play ball w him?
-
He showed good anticipation on a steal or two but other then that he really never guarded a guy one on one. I’m not real sure what North Star was trying to do on defense.
-
Ya it was a pretty impressive half. From what I can see the shooting concerns have no merits. He’s taking all the threes on the move and from well beyond the three point line. The one catch and shoot he had was nothing but net. His stroke is pretty pure. An actual offense w college level teammates will help his percentages greatly IMO
-
We will see I think Norfolk is down alil bit from past years.
-
Going to check out the game tonight in Norfolk.
-
I think Maryland will beat them tonight

Penn St. (7-8) vs. Nebraska (11-4) Game Thread
B-town hoopsfan replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
In his defense he was taking it in the chest most of the night on defense and a lot of the offensive rebounds were not on him IMO. But yes the 3 rebounds he had in 35 mins is unexceptionable -
