Duby and Old Testament. Whose name, rather than his game, brought joy to my heart.

Really bad team. Looks like my seats behind home plate for the Big 10 tournament may be for sale cause I don't see us making it.
-
If the prize would have been Cip's salsa I would have entered and won.
-
Can't make it this time; please bring us home a W, Jake.
-
Shocking. P.T. Barnum proved right, once again. This was not difficult.
-
I'm sure lots of people were asking that question about the Huskers about this time a year ago. And we go 13-5 in league. I wouldn't write anyone off during transfer and early departure season.
-
For those who thought our only problem was pitching, today demonstrated pretty well that we suck in every other phase of the game as well.
-
I don't get the beauty contest analogy. 14 teams competed and we finished 4th. And beat a final four team by 20. Advocate for firing the coach all you want, but I wouldn't diminish 13-5 in this league, with the coaches in this league, ever.

Schreiber and Alvarado have to be thinking "what the hell did I do?".
-
Correct. And even if Frost had a last minute change of heart, we had a Plan B. Riley was gone no matter what, which of course was a complete no-brainer.
-
I think that is fair and accurate.

Crowell? Forget it, he's on a roll.

Okay we have the typical doom and gloom post

I think Gibbs is coming back. -
Except that's not consistent with your history. When you were leading the AWIII will leave bandwagon, you intimated that Miles was an A-hole who had serious issues with his players. And then you disappeared for a long time.
-
I didn't even notice the over-exuberant kid on the first watch, because, well, I was looking at something else.......
-
"Personally I like Miles". Really? Cause based on your posting history, you got a really funny way of showing it. I mean, it's OK not to like him. Just go with it. No need to do the old "I really like him, BUT...." thing.

2017 PF David Wingett -> Memphis -> S. Dakota St

Never would have happened against Kidney's third graders. -
A few other tourney observations: Husker first round opponent ASU gets drilled by Texas in round 2. UConn must suck. They scored 69 fewer points then they did in the first round! The NIT seems to be the tournament of the BIG rather than the Dance. Purdue, Michigan State, and Indiana all get through the second round.

End of another Nebraska native's career tonight, as Chartrice White's career ends with the FSU loss. She has 5 and 6 in her last game. I was so impressed with her during her freshman year at Illinois. She did OK at FSU, but I figured it would work out better for her this year.

It has nothing to do with Sam; I would object to anyone reporting it that way. Naming the person with the turnover, as if that was was the difference in us winning the game and making the tournament (which literally is what was typed), isn't right in my opinion. Even if you decided one turnover actually was the difference in the game (which is BS), naming the player does in fact unnecessarily come close to "dissing him", if not actually "dissing him". Saying an Aleks Maric turnover was the difference in the game and thus us making the tournament does indeed seem to be blaming him for the loss, or at least that play. Not that big of a deal, but I didn't like it, and still don't. So we can agree to disagree.

Tyronn Lue is the new Head Coach of the Cavs

And Hoiberg is going to be recruiting coordinator. Helluva team. -
Well, unless the English language has changed, I misread nothing. Bad writing by Sam. Added nothing to his point. Actually detracted from it.
-
I took it as basically blaming Aleks for us not making the tournament. An absurd comment. He could have just said Doc was really close to making the tournament. No reason to name someone in that context. Like last week, when Sam said Connie Yori resigned "amid scandal". Except there wasn't a scandal. Most coaches preach after tough losses that one play doesn't win or lose the game, whether its a bad call (well, except maybe the Penn State '82 and 1/1/94 Orange Bowl), a missed shot, or bad play. I suppose "journalists" don't have to follow that, but it would be fair if they gave it a try. I mean, we could say "Frank wins a Natty and keeps his job if Correll Buckhalter doesn't fumble on the two yard line", but I'm not sure we want to pound on Correll forever. "Bo gets a Big 10 conference title and everything after that is different if Adi doesn't kick it out of bounds". Not fair to pick out one play by one guy as having some transcending meaning.

Nice job getting a shot in on Aleks, Sam. You think we're even in a bunch of those games with him, including that one? Of all the players on all the crappy teams in one of the crappiest programs ever, you have to get in a shot on a guy like that. Probably could have made your point without going there. Hell, while you're at it, go after Turner Gill for a bad pass on the two point conversion.
