I miss those days! Enjoy this window because the darn thing closes sooner than you would like.

I haven't been able to follow it as much as in the past, so this can all be taken with a grain of salt, but the future seems really bright. We are playing a lot of true freshmen major minutes. When you do that you tend to give up 84 points, as it takes even longer for freshmen to figure out the level of defense that is required at this level. But they all seem to be improving gradually as one would expect. Some years you play 1 or 2 true freshmen a bunch of minutes. This year we're playing four! And there isn't a bust in the group. We've dug a big hole for this postseason, but my guess is we show considerable improvement in the conference season, and then next year we hit the ground running. Cincore's defense, leadership and toughness has been missed more than I could have imagined. But remember, she didn't show much of that as a true freshman. The current freshmen are already playing at high levels for stretches of time. While it's hard to not live in the present results-wise, I'm really encouraged about the future.

Great pics, Auroran.

Well, and I have very close at hand info to the contrary. You have a very good posting history, but I think you're free-wheeling here. -
Loves every reason to criticize Nebraska and its coaches. Creighton has never been wrong about anything ever. and don't kid yourself. He doesn't "really like" our team.

Most of it. Misread the Heady article about the 13 wins; apparently that wasn't said tonight for a change. -

Don't worry, Norm. Moos also played the "win 13 games in conference again card" . As if the league isn't way better than last year. Although I suppose the extra 2 games makes it more reasonable. In any event, if he needs to qualify his support every time the subject comes up, maybe he should just keep his pie hole shut. -

Your info on "no bad blood between Miles and TM"? And TM wants to stay? You state those opinions as fact. -

Well said. And if Moos' point was to protect our precious budget from an extra year payout if things didn't work out, well, where was that fiscal restraint in agreeing to pay Akron $650,000 to not play a game (while paying Bethune Cookman $800k to play one), and then pay Akron $1.45 million to play a game in 2025. WTF. Pretty selective in saving $2-3 million when it's chump change for this department. I hope we didn't extend the contract of the lawyer who drafted and/or reviewed the Akron contract and didn't define the cancellation circumstances voiding the payout for crap. -

Kind of a rehash of whether Moos handled it correctly and/or fairly, not how Miles thinks about it. It is about more than a "huge contract". it was 2 ADs delaying and making no, or very late and tepid public comments of support. And these coaches aren't dumb, they know what it means and where they stand. And its wearing. It's not a good situation. Doesn't mean it can't be worked out, but it's not warm and friendly, and definitely not on the same page. Miles will have options, and believe me he will consider them. But, all we can do now is win games and see how it shakes out. -

What is your basis for saying Moos and Miles "are on the same page"? What's your basis for saying "they like each other?" -
And they LOST the game! ?

Pretty sure a couple of "powers that be" already made that call. Now, circumstances may require them to change that call...... -
Just waiting for someone from the Thor fan club to speak up! ?
