Why are we limited to a random mid-major coach? (Jerome Tang says Hi).
-
So is there any scenario, or amount of losing, that would cause you to flip? Or because he won years ago at Iowa State and coached and played in the NBA we keep him forever no matter what?
-
Fine job of cherry picking to support your ceaseless “Save Fred” campaign. You mention Doc scheduling cupcakes, but fail to mention that for 3 years Fred lost to a bunch of them. There is nothing h to support your contention that we would have a helluva lot more wins against the supposed cupcakes. We lost to freaking everyone. You cherry pick that Fred won at some other school, years ago. Doesn’t seem too relevant at this point. You cherry pick that Nebraska has no history of success as yet another excuse. But we haven’t been bottom dwellers for 4 years straight ever. If your standard is there’s no guarantee that the next guy will be better, than we’ll never hire another coach . There are no guarantees, but I’m pretty damn confident that Norm Peterson would have gone at least 12-58 in the league in 4 years.

While your descriptions seem accurate, you missed one key word: Recruiting. Fred doesn’t do much of it.

And athleticism. Recruiting gotta get way better. Time to bring in a big time recruiter on the staff.

Well if you’re gonna go with all of that, maybe recruit better shooters? You can’t just stick to your “philosophy” when you don’t have the players for it. -
Actually hearing a little smoke on that

Ramel says he staying. His NIL funds were held until the start of the semester; smart move by the collective. He now says he's all in. Time will tell but hope he plays here. -

Eichorst didn’t extend Tim’s contract. Very tepid support otherwise. Them Moos. But I realize nothing will change your mind or balance your crusade. -

Yes. When they leave the head guy twisting in the wind, the good assistants bail. And I promise you that’s what happened with Kenya. And when Kenya left, it was over. -

Or not due to his ADs cutting his nuts off and impairing his recruiting and assistant coach retention? Any chance of having any balance to your views? -
I wouldn't be shocked if Fred moves himself "in a different direction". He really does have health issues, per those close to the family. He has to know that unless he absolutely hits it out of the park with the spring portal, year 5 looks like more of the same. No sure he signs up for more of this, regardless of what Trev is thinking. This scenario would involve a negotiated buyout for less than the full amount.

200 fair, 300 non-existent. Lots of empty seats everywhere -
We desperately need a recruiting win. Maybe that can still happen with the portal at season end, but getting a target like this guy who is getting pursued by good teams would be a big boost to Fred at this point. On the other hand, losing him would look like more of the same.

0-21 from 3, 5-12 from the line. No effort. Been watching since 1986 and this is the worst coaching and playing performance I have seen. -
If we’re gonna get these veterans of which Norm speaks, and they are good enough to turn us into a winning program, it’s gonna take lots of NIL money. Lots.
-
Correct on NIL for the guys going to non-NBA level pro leagues. But we would need a boatload of NIL money. Are we ready to do that for basketball? We have done OK so far, but this would need to amp up at a much higher level.
-
In this day and age of hyper-mobility, how u gonna get guys to stay for 5-6 years?

She also annoyed the refs, as she got Teed up. Great player, but extremely demonstrative. Has never committed a foul, and has never taken a shot in which she wasn't fouled. She could be Lisa Bluder, I'm not sure.

I know the family well so they will appreciate my reinstatement.
