Has nothing to do with Frost. Different situation. Let Fred stand on the merits. If you think he deserves to stay based on anything he's done or you think he can do, fine. You probably don't know all that went into Frost getting another year (I do). Doubt that Fred would be willing to do what that took. Plus Fred's situation is way worse. Apples to oranges. Getting tired of people using that as a reason to keep Fred.

Have to respectfully disagree. The head coach, especially at Nebraska, has to be actively engaged in recruiting. Can't delegate that completely and be successful. But yes, to the extent he hired a general manager, he didn't get the right guy.

Well if it drives him crazy he should have recruited differently (or actually recruited at all, vs. having Matt do it all), and get his guys to buy into the effort needed. That's what good coaching is about. Clearly Mr. Laidback can't motivate his players to play the game the right way. The fact that Fred had to say what he said about Dawson is a clear indictment of his program. He should have kept that to himself and the team. Speaks volumes.

That guy is a huge douchnozzle. The player was way more mature than him.

The answer is yes. I watched Sam a lot in high school, and he had that "bounce" of an athlete. He rebounded in the Summit from the get go. Smart (as in an actual basketball IQ), fundamental player. Wouldn't have been a star in this league, but could have played some minutes eventually. Would have stuck around and improved (even with bad coaching) here, and given us way better basketball to watch than the hot garbage we've had to witness.

Build a good team around Briedenbach next season?? He looks like a decent player who actually tries and plays the game the right way, but you're not building a Big 10 winner with him as the #1 guy....I'll have what Blackshirt is smoking.
