  1. I feel strangely compelled to grab my coat and walk to my car....but I'm already home.
  2. Can we run something for Ray to get a 3 point attempt? I don't think he's even attempted a shot has he?
  3. 7 1. Wisconsin 2. Michigan State 3. Ohio State 4. Iowa 5. Indiana 6. Illinois 7. Michigan 8. Minnesota 9. Purdue 10. Nebraska 11. Penn State 12. Northwestern
  4. Here's another one, if I may. Not a ranking but a grading system. http://btn.com/2013/12/30/big-ten-geeks-first-semester-grades/
  5. Good eye Yeah, I noticed that to. Has anyone heard anymore details regarding Pitchford? I'm assuming he just pulled a muscle. Hopefully whatever it is it is something minor. We need his shooting and rebounding. IIRC, Miles said in his radio post-game interview that he sat Pitch for too many defensive mistakes. Didn't allude to injury as being why. Take that fwiw.
  6. What people, you can't stay for 1 minute?
  7. Now why did Tai pass that??
  8. We'll, we just have to bear down and get this turd to pass (with a win), and hopefully rise up to better competition come Big play.
  9. Quick, get that guy who hit the half court shot a jersey
  10. Ah, Sean Kilpatrick. Sounds like a fine broth of a lad from the old sod.
  11. An fwiw, I did like this particular question and answer... @nateporter78 what is your opinion on one and done players & do you recruit then Tim Miles: I would recruit them. It’s the rules, it is their right & part of the business #askcoachMiles
  12. No, no, I'm not blaming the messenger. I was just taking a friendly poke at those questions of the, "What's your favorite Christmas cookie?" ilk.
  13. Some hard hitting questions there.
  14. Bullet points of broadcast-- Last time for TM show at Carlos O'Kelly's Arkansas State Game Had good week of practice Good first half, players played with each other and for each other Got some good 3 point baskets in transition 29 points and 19 assists is really good. Said part of reason why assists to points ratio is sometimes low is because he often puts his player in isolation situation. But still likes to see around 1 assist for every 2-3 baskets Played good defense against Marvin Wilson, Benny especially Wishes he could have put them away but we're not there yet. Have to get there, players have to learn how to put teams away Team had a good rhythm in first half, but he messed it up by switching up offense because he wanted them to get used to having to do that in a game. Thinks in Big 10 they'll see a lot of defensive looks in same game sometimes. Glad he did it although he admits to messing w/ their rhythm, thinks they could have scored over 90 and gotten everyone double Runzas On some of the players Lee Barfknecht made comment that we have 4 players who could score 30 on a given night. He's not sure that isn't true. On officiating, its getting better. Thinks scoring is up because of more possessions. Says Big 10 officials do a good job considering they're officials ("I'm not gonna get fined for that am I?") Shavon's scoring up in last couple of games because we're running more motion, which suits his game. Other players need to adapt to motion offense. On Shavon dancing: "Stick to your day job." Says Pitchford scoring a three from the right wing on the opening possession is never by design, it just has worked out that way. If he ever called it, it would never happen. Nate Hawkins a smart player, can play 2, sometimes the 3, and maybe even the 1. Was asked if Hawkins surprised him with how good he is. Miles said in a one on one situation he's not that great, but in a 5 on 5 environment he's tremendous Gotta have Ray hit his threes. Team needs to make more threes. We only make 5.7/game, which is almost last in league. Would like to see 7 or 8 / game Fuller could help them in threes but says he's just behind. 10th spot on roster no guarantee of playing time. Some games hard to get a 9th guy in, let alone 10th Rivers doesn't mainly because of defensive rebounding. Hates giving up his length on defense, but trade off for only 1 rebound every 11 min. and just overall quickness We're 2nd in league in steals. Minnesota presses on ever possession make or miss and has 8.6 steals / game, we have 8.3 Jayden Olson Jayden Olson, Director of Operations spoke for part of the time. He is in charge of making sure players are on top of their grades, also has responsibilities in scheduling and recruiting Talked about challenges of making schedule. Hardest thing is getting quality games Spoke with every Big XII school, the SEC, and the Pac XII, and said we'll come out to your place next year because we're looking for a road game. Most of them wouldn't even talk to us. One place said "We need to play a more notorious school." Hard to get opponents head coach to commit. We were all set to play a school, we sent contract and at last minute they backed out. We ended up getting Florida Gulf Coast. Future matchups include a tournament next year in Hawaii, Creighton contract will be renewed, Cincinnati comes here next year Dec. 13th, We're looking for home and home with "high majors". We want to get games scheduled with Texas schools, partly to help with recruiting Says Miles will play anyone Source : http://www.huskers.com/AudioArchives.dbml
  15. Bad idea. I wouldn't want us to turn into Creighton fans.
  16. Hey, you have to show your math there.
  17. Man, we're still scoring points in that game.
  18. Norm, my personal opinion is that they diliberately have certain players who engage in this cheap bulls@&$! because they are trying get inside their opponents head. They are not-so-subtly trying to get them so pissed off that they focus more on getting even than playing basketball. It's the whole Kurt Ramis/Bill Lambier thing. I've played basketball all my life, and I've come up against douche wads like this. I have no doubt this is a directive from the coach, which I'm sure the players approve of wholeheartedly. His classless tweet pretty much proves it. That said, I don't doubt that this "soft" stigma bothers them and is also a motivating factor in this kind of pussy tactics.
  19. I don't know why this has always stayed with me, but when we played at Missouri in '94 they were going for the perfect 14-0 record in the Big 8 in that game. I had to listen to it on the radio and at one point late in the game Kent was really pumped up after we made a big three, and he said "The Missouri fans want a foul called, BUT WHO CARES!??" I just loved that.
  20. Oy, my kingdom for a Cliff Notes filter.
  21. He's a punk ass b**tch. Always has been, always will be.
