Okay. I just see Molinari lead the post players through pre-game warmups and huskers.com indicates Molinari " works with the post players and assists in opponent scouting and game-planning." So I don't know who is/was "in charge" of the post players, but it would be my guess that Molinari is/was in charge of more of those responsibilities. I could be wrong, though. Regardless, I think we'll mostly miss Hunter from a recruiting and player relations standpoint.

Molinari coaches the post players.

No. Moos would not replace Miles with an assistant coach with no head-coaching experience. Moos wants to WIN, so if/when a coaching change is made, the hire will be higher profile than Kenya Hunter (no offense to Kenya Hunter).

What to do with Miles contract?
dustystehl replied to The Polish Rifle's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Any talks about recruiting being "hurt" don't make sense to me. Are kids not coming to Nebraska because they're worried about the coach's length of contract? When it comes to facilities and fan support, Nebraska is one of the best places in the country - and kids still don't come here (even BEFORE Miles wasn't granted extensions). Tim Miles is 7-26 in road and neutral site games in the month of March (as a Div I head coach- CSU/NEB). He is 0-6 against Creighton. In order to take the next step as a program, we have to win these games. Miles' track record shows he's not the guy to make that happen. In fact, there is not a single coach in the Big Ten I wouldn't take over Miles. Take off your rose-colored glasses and see if you can envision Tim Miles beating Creighton, winning a holiday tournament, playing on Saturday of the conference tournament, winning the NIT, or winning a NCAA Tournament game. I desperately WANT to see those things, but without my rose-colored glasses I only see more disappointment in March. If Miles is granted an extension, I can't say he didn't earn it. But if we want to no longer be the only power conference team to not win a NCAA Tournament game, we need to hire a coach who has won a NCAA Tournament game before. To me, that is the minimum requirement. -
Hope the boys are fired up tonight. Let's kick their asses!

I agree 100%. Perhaps I should have listed him as a F/C.

My friend and I have been discussing next year's depth chart to figure out what we need in terms of recruiting. Guards: Glynn Watson Thomas Allen Xavier Johnson Thorir Thorbjarnarson Wing: James Palmer Jack McVeigh Nana Akenten Forward: Isaac Copeland Isaiah Roby Center: Jordy Tshimanga Tanner Borchardt Brady Heiman I honestly believe that Thor could play 5 minutes a half at guard, if need be. Hopefully Nana can improve in the offseason and crack the rotation. As discussed previously, Heiman would greatly benefit from a redshirt season. We may be in a position to just sign the best player we can, regardless of position. However, given our track record with bigs, I would prefer to sign a player that can play F/C. If an additional scholarship opens up, then we sign a guard. I have no preference whether the player(s) is a signed out of high school, JUCO, or is a graduate transfer, I just want them to be able to play right away.

HHCC Game #18 - vs. Wisconsin (Jan. 09, 7:30 PM CST)

Great stuff, guys. Roby is more explosive than Jordy. Roby is quicker than Jordy. Love watching Roby go baseline and finish with a two-handed dunk. I think Roby could be a problem for bigger slower players like Haas and I would love to see him play at the 5 a bit more.

He had a great right-handed finish in the second half of the Minnesota game. My friends and I went NUTS!

Pre-Annual Cupcake Loss Check-In

If Roby started, we'd rarely lose the tip! (I think we've only won one - maybe two - this year.) -
2017 PF David Wingett -> Memphis -> S. Dakota St
dustystehl replied to AuroranHusker's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Were grades/academics an issue for him coming out of high school? Is that why he wasn't highly recruited? Assuming that stuff is in order, I'd love to have him in the program next year! -
Absolutely! I don't think we are advocating for Roby to start; we are just advocating for Roby to get more minutes.
-
I assume you mean, "No reason Roby SHOULDN'T be getting some of Jordy's minutes."? If so, I totally agree!

Seemed to me that Kent was expecting a "farewell" broadcast with Matt, but Matt was a little abrasive with Kent. Matt seemed like he hadn't caught his breath for a few days, which is understandable! Matt didn't provide much insight into what he'll be doing with the football program, but I think he's been put into a great position for him!

On a scale of 1-10, I'd say Minnesota's intensity was a 2 or 3; Nebraska's was at least an 8. But the way we substituted players (especially defensively) allowed us to stay fresh and give Minnesota different looks. Minnesota was never able to find a rhythm. Kenya Hunter's defensive game plan worked great! Fun night at The Vault. Kudos to the coaching staff. Congrats to the kids on a great win. GBR.

Can you give me an example of an "established" coach who isn't a good coach?
